Great food and service Tried a number of items off the breakfast menu and everything was flavorful and well cooked. We enjoyed it all
We just happened to stop in and holy smokes we hit the Golden honey hole !!!! 10/10 recommend the Bread pudding waffles. The Owner is amazing ! Thanks for the great service we will be back!
Great food! The Scottish eggs were a delight!
Driving by Paducah on vacation and wanted to eat local in old downtown. GPS lead me past several historic markers and beautiful old homes. That was a nice bonus and helped break up the monotony of the interstate. I wanted a hearty, high protein breakfast, so I ordered the rolled omelet. For my 2 sides, I got cottage cheese and tater tots. The cottage cheese was served in a chilled bowl and the tots were crispy! Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely eat here again!
Delicious food and amazing staff! Loved the signs as well. We were passing through town and thought we’d try a local restaurant for breakfast. My only complaint is that the restaurant interior (seats, flooring and walls) are tired and old. There was a metal piece sticking up on the floor (safer hazard)and the bench I was seated at was torn. This is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. Our waitress was sweet.
We got to Gold Rush at 9:30 am told us it would be a half an hour...an hour later we finally got to set at table. It them another hour to get our food to the table! NOW I don't know if it was because we were so hungry but the food was good. Would consider going back when not as busy.I felt very sorry for a different table they waited a long time for their food and only half the tables food was made. They had to reorder but get this....the kitchen lost the ticket again and reordered AGAIN that makes three times. At that point they took their food to go!Good food DO NOT GO WHEN THEY'RE BUSY!!!
Small restaurant, very casual, delicious food, reasonably priced. I loved the home fries. Great omelet. Good coffee.
Home style feel of cooking, the staff worked together great making the service very exceptional. I think that was my favorite part, thank you ?
50 minute wait for breakfast seating, not one time prior to seat was I addressed by staff. Door dash comes first, the family of four waiting on a to go order taking up the waiting room, the waitress reviewing the ticket for the to go order as if it was an IRS audit to make sure there was supposed to be coffee on the order. Waitstaff moves like pond water and the establishment has a sign in the waiting area that reads “the whole world is short handed. Please be kind to those who show up.” It is not a free breakfast, explain to me exactly why I should be grateful for a sub-par experience with at best mediocre food and horrible coffee? Eight four top tables in the back, could be three in the front but they are not in use. Once seated the waitress was anxious and motivated to take the drink order and ask if I knew what I wanted, lol the rush is on now. 10:15 ordered now the wait for “The Big Dalton”, 10:37 delivered. The seating is aged, worn and torn in many spots the carpet is not much better. I hope the kitchen is better kept, doubt it though.
First we had to wait forever to get our food. Sat with dry coffee cups and had to flag someone down to get a single refill. When the food finally got to our table after 35-40 mins for a simple breakfast omelettes it was was cold. Not even Luke warm straight up cold. I also believe our waitress didn't like serving people of a different nationality other then white. She was very good at ignoring us.i will not be returning to this restaurant. If I could give less stars I would.
