We came in on a Monday night after spending some time at the fabulous park a block away. Even though the restaurant was pretty empty, it took a good 5 minutes and two staff people to figure out where to seat us. We ended up being sat in the bar area (which worked well for us) and we placed our order for drinks with Gracie. We were thirsty and hot (heatwave day!) and requested a pitcher which she brought.Ordered a flight of beer/cider, and out of the 4, only 2 were at all palatable. Of the drinks ordered (margarita, something with coconut on the rim, and a lemon something or other) all were good but seemed like there was very little alcohol in any of them. We had planned for a DD and didn’t even need her!Food was good, we ordered a Greek salad which was fresh and cool with nice piles of chopped olives, cucumber, onions, banana peppers, and feta cheese. Dressing was very thing but flavorful and also served as a good dip for the pretzel bites. The spicy beer cheese definitely had a kick to it!Atmosphere was fun and had a relaxed vibe. Would definitely come back for the food, not so much for the drinking aspect.
Food was pretty good. Ambiance, decor, music and the dining room were clean and comfortable. However, this restaurant lost a ton of points with a slooooowwww kitchen. At lunchtime, with a half-full dining room, it took 50 minutes to receive any food. Dining with hungry children, this was a major drawback. Signs throughout the restaurant blame it on the "national labor shortage". Based on what I saw, it was more like a "kitchen coordination and enthusiasm" shortage. I'd be hard pressed to return.
Nice restaurant in the downtown area of Owensboro just a few blocks from the Ohio River. A wonderful atmosphere in a building that used to be a bank and still includes the vault. Delicious pizza with a ton of different speciality pizzas and create your own options. We got Pretzel Bites as an appetizer with the spicy beer cheese and the Holy Shitake mushroom pizza. Both were great, definitely recommend.
One heck of a hidden gem in Owensbore Kentucky!!Very nice and polite staff.Entry of options on the menu, and Hand down so.e of the best pizza I've ever had!!Ordered the Great White and the House Special pizzas. Thin crust on the Great White and traditional crust on the house special. Both very tasty, light, crispy and moist with just the right amount of crunch. Never got hard or too crunchy even as the pizza cooled.Toppings are fresh, not like just opened a new fresh, NOPE! We are talking fresh cut, tasty delicious garden fresh. The sauce is for the lack of better words just amazing.Again, best pizza I've ever had in a very long time.10 outta 10 for a firs time experience, and I will be going back again soon.Sorry no pics. Camera is dead in my phone.
Great food and great selection of beer. Cool environment. The food is unique and tasty.
This is a great chain restaurant in general- every Mellow Mushroom you go to is full of different art and they all have a unique style. This one even features a unique tree with a table that you can sit at. The Owensboro Mellow staff always seems so happy and relatable. The food is almost always on point, but being made fresh does require you to be patient- especially if you're there on a busy night. The calzones are massive and we always wind up with leftovers. They have some unique pizzas, but my favorite is the cosmic karma! All of their apps are amazing- the hummus is crazy good even if you've never had hummus at all before, I would totally recommend taking a chance on it. Overall, it's a really fun atmosphere with great food; if you have time to sit down and enjoy it, do it. If you don't have time to sit down and enjoy it, then call in an order and go pick it up- it's not quite the same but it's still great!
As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome.Great food, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful atmosphere. My new favorite restaurant!
Yummy pizza and a cool atmosphere! The cheese was yummy and the toppings were plentiful!Service was okay, the place was busy, but our wait time wasn't long. It's a good place to go for some good food!
Very good wedge salad and pizzas! Generous portions, great beer menu, and most importantly, delicious food! Will definitely be returning when we are back in town.
Food was good. Clean place. Unfortunately our food took 20 minutes for appetizers and 64 minutes for our pizza. Everything tasted great but if you're in a hurry or super hungry I'd suggest somewhere else. Was nice that it was walking distance from the Hamilton inn we stayed at.
