I have ate here a couple time since it had been under new ownership. The seating area is so much brighter and fresh looking The food has had been good both times i ate here. I like how this is a family restaurant and will continue to support it when I visit Owensboro.
I eat here sometimes four times a week, and I’ve never had a bad eating experience. The waitresses are all kind and helpful, the cook is fantastic, and Lizzie is a very hard working individual. Come eat at Lizzie’s!
Staff were nice but the food was very bland. That the first time I've had sausage that had absolutely no taste. It's way too pricey for what I ate. It's close to me so I'm gonna give it one more shot
My food was cold. Not enough of food to fill me up. It's was too expensive. I love diners, but won't go back to this one. But on the other hand, it's new, maybe it will get better
The staff was friendly enough and the food was okay as far as I am concerned. My lunch companion really likes the home style meals, but it just takes too long for a working guy to take a lunch there.. It took too long to even get drinks. It was 40 minutes to get food and there were empty tables, so they weren't in an overflow situation. We did get an apology for the delay.
Not a good place to stop if you're in a hurry but good food at good prices if you have time

Haven't been here in 20 years (it was still Jay Dees then). Very friendly staff. I arrived to late for some lunch specials but did have a quite nice roast beef Manhattan and green beans. Large portion and quite filling.
While the food was good the portions were small for the price. Staff was very friendly and attentive. One huge draw back is lack of handicap access. While it does have 2 spits I believe the access onto the walkway to door has to be reached via a small narrow ramp and the entrance is double doored and opens out which made it very difficult for guest on a walker. The bathroom on the other hand was spacious enough to accomadate walker/ chairs and very well kept.
