Somehow, the chips were soggy. Intact, but soggy. A food I got (forgot what it was called) smeller like burnt hair... tasted of it too. I did not eat it. I ordered three tacos to eat instead. Saddest excuse for a taco I have ever seen! It's just ground beef and lettuce?! My mother's chimichanga was burned, and she said her frozen margarita was the grossest she'd tasted. At least the lemonade was good, but that came from a coke machine!
My family and I ate here last summer while visiting from out of town. We live in a bigger city with a plethora of Mexican restaurants. But over the course of the past year we still find ourselves saying, "Remember that great Mexican place we ate at in Owensboro!?" It was seriously the best we've ever had. If we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again, we'll definitely be back!
Every time we come down here, El Bracero is a must.. love their food and staff.
I was very excited to try this place since I heard it was really good! Unfortunately I was served either raw or spoiled shrimp. The shrimp was tough and hard to chew. I let the waitress know and she offered to get me new shrimp but I lost my appetite. I asked for the manager and he said that the shrimp is tougher when grilled but this shrimp was not cooked fully. I’ve eaten grilled shrimp multiple times and this shrimp was not good. The manager who I spoke with was talking to me as if he didn’t believe me. I showed him how tough it was to cut. I even asked my friend to try it to confirm that I wasn’t overreacting. I still payed for my friend’s meal and they did not bill me for my food that I ordered.
El Braceros is a hidden gem in Owensboro, KY. Not only are the prices competitive, but the portions are generous and will leave you taking home leftovers to eat later.The service is quick, attentive, and overall speed to get food is average for a sit down style Mexican restaurant.They have a pretty abundant menu so you will have plenty of choices when it comes to finding something new to try.
I love this place. Food, atmosphere, and service are top-notch. Prices are reasonable and drinks are real.
The food was delicious and the service was great. The portion sizes were very large especially for the reasonable prices. We will definitely go back!
First visit, and it was great. Warm chips and great salsa. Our dinners were great but not as hot..heat wise..as we thought they should be. Service was great. Will go back!
The food was good. It really was but the service is severely lacking. We only seem or waiter 2 times total the hour we were there once for ordering and once he brought our food. My significant other ran out of his drink and we didn't see the waiter for over 15 minutes. Eventually another guy came and started helping with our table (we didn't ask he just seen us looking for our waiter). I also want to state. They were NOT busy and they had more waiters than tables. I am not one to complain he wasn't a aweful or rude waiter he just was never there.
Visited this restaurant for the 2nd time yesterday! Excellent food, excellent service. Our waiter was amazing. Don't know his name. We left him a big tip though. Lol I had the Fiesta chicken. It was so delicious!! My son and his girlfriend had chicken fajitas. Again so delicious. Their deep fried ice cream is so good to! You get so much food for an excellent price!! They have the best chips. They were warm and fresh. The salsa tasted great but is a little thin for me. I like a thicker salsa. They give salsa for each person. Ordered their guacamole. A little pricey for the amount. It was just smashed avocados, no seasoning, no onions or tomatoes. Was very fresh though. I highly recommend this restaurant! El bracero is our favorite restaurant!! Thank you for providing such excellent service and food!!
