Went here for my husband’s birthday for the first time and we were not disappointed. I’m so thankful we chose this place for his special day.The service was amazing, the staff was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. I have food allergies, embarrassingly enough when you go to new places, and while many establishments roll their eyes at that, Colby’s went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of without a flinch or an eye roll to the requests. Thank you so much for that. It’s rare. Trust me. :)Super clean place, loved the overall atmosphere! We will be back!!
We found Colby's online and took a chance which exceeded expectations. The pictures don't do it justice, the service was great and the food very good. Hubby had Shrimp & Scallops Linguini and I had Hawaiian Chicken. Hubby said his house made Gumbo was the best he'd ever had. My salad included field greens as well as bacon, egg, and tomato. All of the food was excellent and we even got cake for dessert! I would highly recommend Colby's, not just for a special occasion.
We ate at Colby’s for the first time tonight. The food was absolutely some of the best!!! It might be one of my favorite places! I unfortunately did not get a picture of our crab shrimp mushroom dip but it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The crab flavor was actually noticeable , I’m thinking it had to be real crab. And it was served with a large bowl of pita bread slices. We both also had salads that came with a slice of cheesy bread. Pictured is our entrees that included the salad and one additional side. I had the Hawaiin chicken with mashed potatoes and my boyfriend had the pork chops with sweet potato fries. Both were very large servings and we both took home enough for another meal. He had like 4 pieces of pork chops. If you have never been put this at the top of your list.
Food was great… hosted and being seated was strange, apparently we arrived at shift change which is understandable. So we waited for a while… then we sat and we’re told that the table we were sitting in had reservations in an hour… which would have worked out just fine… it doesn’t take us an hour to eat. The problem with that was … the restaurant was empty. Likely not try this place again.
This spot is awesome!! Everything we had here was delicious! Great food, great service! I'll be back if I'm ever in the area.
We came to Owensboro for a weekend getaway. My husband found Colby's on the Hampton website. This is truly a fantastic place. We sat at the bar and completely enjoyed the experience. The bartender was our server and she truly knows the meaning of customer service. The salmon was sensation and my husband loved his ribeye. This will be a definite stop every time we are in Owensboro.
My husband and I visited Colby’s on a Friday night in February before a concert. The food was excellent!! We had a mushroom appetizer which was homemade and delicious. For my meal I ordered a prime rib sandwich with au jui and it was excellent! My husband had a burger and he was also pleased. I cannot remember our waitress’ name but she was wonderful as well. We will definitely return!
This was a great place to eat. They have a great menu lots of items to choose from. They even offer an early bird menu as well. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive. Will be back
Food was great, as always, our server was great as well, but the way we were welcomed almost made us leave. They would not seat us until the third person who may or may not of been meeting is arrived (during our lunch hour) then as we were walking to our table, the same host advised us that we were only allowed to sit in our seat for an hour. What kind of service is this?! I would have understood a little more if it had been incredibly busy, but it was not. They're not going to keep customers coming back if you make them feel uncomfortable, rushed or as though they're putting the employees out but being there.
