12:15 on 6-8-22. A restaurant must be willing to serve food. My first attempt here left a bad taste. Not busy at all. Waited for a few minutes at the bar wanting to order food but nobody around. Read a couple news articles before I gave up and headed out. I will not try again. This could have been my go to lunch spot on this side of town. Went to Lure and was greeted right away. Such a shame because I’ve wanted to go here for a long time.
My husband and I had breakfast with a view. The service and food was good, coming in a reasonable time and was prepared correctly. It was definitely over priced, but to be expected as part of a hotel. Biggest draw was convenience for those staying in hotel as well as large windows with river view as well as patio seating.
Good breakfast, eggs cooked as asked! Great salads....slow service but doable. Friendly service.
Amazing cheese burger great river view in a great hotel. Great seating arrangement and amazing food. This place has the best burgers and quesadilla starter I have ever had. I got a plain cheese burger waiter was amazing and nice and the prices are great. Love this place and I am coming back here
I'd had breakfast there on a couple of occasions in the past, which proved good. Decided to take Mom for breakfast there this morning. We walked in and were told to sit wherever we wanted. That was the last thing the server said to us as we waited for 20 minutes with no coffee/drinks and no menus, while we watched her drag her heels across the room to the few patrons there. We gave up, and won't return again.
Bartender was rude and she just acted like she waited us to hurry up and leave. We ordered food it was great!
We went for Burger Week, it was the first time my family had ever been here. The burgers were really good but the service was so poor that I don’t think we will be returning. Waited at the table for 20 minutes before a server even greeted us and then another 10 for them to bring out our drinks, the food arrived to our table before my drink from the bar that I had ordered 40 minutes prior. It legitimately felt like our serves forgot about us at several points and an off-shift employee ended up getting our drinks and cashing us out because the server was nowhere to be found. It was some of the worst service I have received in Owensboro, food was pretty good though.
Just attempted to place a carry out order during Burger Week here in Owensboro after verifying Burger Theory was open for business. The gentleman i spoke to said he could certainly take my order in a moment. I agreed, and I could hear the gentleman on the phone perfectly as he gave change to customers and asked kitchen staff if there was anything else they needed from him. I also clearly heard kitchen staff moving around the kitchen for around ten more minutes before the phone was picked up and I was hung up on.It's true, you know - you only have one chance at a good impression. Having never visited before, you can be certain I never will now.
Poor service and long wait for meal. High prices, eat as good at fast food joints, extremely limited menu, fair to poor quality food. Asked for 3 Xtra sauce because french fries were cold and dry and chicken was dry they begrudgingly brought me 2...one at a time and I had to ask three times and still never got the three xtras I requested. Not at the top of my recommendation list. They don't even know the difference between sweetened and unsweetened ice tea, again didn't get what I ordered. Don't plan to go back expensive and lack of a quality meal
Horrible service and very limited menu. For a burger place, only has 3 burgers. My eggs and toast were cold when I finally got them. I asked 4 times for milk for my coffee, which I never got They forgot my silverware DO NOT EAT HERE
