Just left Briarpatch and it was by far the BEST Ribeye steak I’ve eaten
I really enjoyed this place. Get there early, I recommend 15-30 before opening, they get busy quick and you will be waiting a while. Service was good, food was tasty. Lost a star due a musty smell in front area and the place is in need of updating but that won't stop me from going back again soon.
I have always loved Briar Patch. Since it’s been under new management some things have changed…good and bad. The hoppin John soup is not as good as it used to be. However the salad bar is very good and fresh . Has always been. Don’t care for the croutons now. Not crunchy at all. The beverage glasses are larger now and much better. Steaks are amazing! Overall a very good place to eat at! Friendly waiters and food comes out very hot and fast!
We stopped for a quick lunch but ended up with a short 10 minute wait. We didn't have time to order off the menu so we did the soup and salad bar. The salad bar was excellent with so many choices, but the soups were just okay. The hopping John's soup was very bland and the vegetable soup was good but under seasoned. Overall we left full and happy!
By far the best steak in Owensboro! They have an amazing salad bar and they have top notch customer service. One of Owensboro’s hidden gems!
Great salad bar! I have several food allergies that make ordering a salad in a restaurant difficult, so having a salad bar with variety where I can pick my own toppings gives me a chance to enjoy a salad. The Oreo Fluff is a nice dessert option as well.
My mother is from Kentucky and always heard wonderful things regarding this place, due to circumstances we were in the area and needed lunch and oh my gosh this place was spectacular in every single way! From start to finish the food was delicious!! The house made strawberry butter was sooo perfect leading to an appetizer of mozzarella sticks and then for sure hand breaded chicken tenders versus frozen! Plus sweet tea in a glass that actually lasts a little longer than the usual! Without a doubt coming back if every in the area and recommending to every single person I know!!
Absolutely delectable . Great steaks cooked to perfection. The Stffed flounder was excellent. Desserts were fabulous. The Service was Amazing. Decent wine selection with something for every palate. The place was extremely clean . Very nice 1970 fern and Tiffany vibe.
First time being there. My family took me for Birthday dinner; we set out to go to Texas Roadhouse. The wait time was way too long. So we "googled" other steak houses in the area and found the Briar patch. Best steak I've ever eaten!! Had a warm, friendly atmosphere. The salad bar was awesome. Wait time on food was excellent. Definitely recommend and will go back!
