We made a last minute reservation at Bar Louie in Owensboro for our Travel Softball Team. There were 30+ of us. Upon our arrival we were given the party room. Maddie our server was fun, polite, & honest. She flat out tild us a server had just walked out & they were already short staffed. So not only did she have our party, but regular tables too. She did a great job taking care of us & bring open and honest kept us in the right mind set! This girl is going places!
I never write reviews but this was by far one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. My friend ordered the $20 salmon and it had the texture of rubber, was cold, and had no flavor. The service was horrible our water was never filled up. And to top it all off I payed for my $10 meal with a $20 bill and the waiter took the change left over and didn’t show his face again so I was never even given the opportunity to get my money back. Extremely disappointed in how we were treated and with the quality of the food. Would not recommend to anyone.
The kitchen takes forever to get your food to you, scared to think about the cleanliness of it. Sourdough bread was not sourdough or anywhere near fresh. Gastroburger was good.
Got the chicken parm sandwich with a big apple mixed drink and I have zero regrets. We also shared the pretzel bites appetizer and it was phenomenal.
This place is absolutely awful. I walked in and it was completely dead. Staff just lounging around on their cell phones doing nothing. As I look around this place is soooo dirty. I ordered a martini that was supposed to have blue cheese olives in it but the olives were empty. Maybe they just needed stuffed. Well you have 15 ppl looking at phone that could stuff olives. I felt dirt and had to leave, omg this place will not last. Others please read reviews, they are all reall. Only the strong will survive in this environment
My husband and I had dinner at Bar Louie before attending a concert in Downtown Owensboro. I had been to Bar Louie in Evansville and recommended going here to my husband. The difference between these two restaurants was unexpected. Service was extremely slow and portions were meager. I could have ordered a hamburger at McDonalds and had a much bigger sandwich. and saved $10. The side salad my husband ordered consisted of a tiny handful of lettuce leaves - gone in 5 bites. Do yourself a favor and try one of the other locall places down the street.
I really had high hopes. I'm sorry to say that almost every order at our table was wrong. And the drinks & service were terrible. ? Our waiter looked our way several times and even though we would wave our arms to get his attention he'd turn & walk the other way. We're there for an hour and a half before getting our food, and 3 hours all together to get our checks & to pay. A very disappointing experience unfortunately.
A very disappointing experience overall. I have been here before with no problems, but last night I came with about ten other people and the service here was terrible. We came for my boyfriend's birthday and our waiter checked on us only once, the food came out cold, we waited 2 hours to get our food and another hour to get our checks. Our drinks were poorly made and the waiter didn't bother to check on us for refills at all. Most of us didn't have drinks for the whole night, and we had to flag the waiter down multiple times, due to him purposely dodging our table. And on top of all of that our checks came out incorrect and we had to wait even longer for him to fix those. In conclusion, we were there for 3 hours in total, almost all of us were fed up, and it made for a very poor experience for my boyfriend's birthday. It's unfortunate but I will not be recommending Bar Louie for any event again.
I usually don't leave a bad review unless it was really bad. We were here for 3 hours and I've never seen such bad service in my life. We waited 2 hours for our meals and an hour to get our checks. The waiter probably checked on us once. I could tell he was stressed but we had to try to get his attention multiple times. My friend had to ask for her check 3 times. The drinks weren't made right and serveral of our meals weren't right either and overall it was a bad experience.
Do not eat here! The food we got was messed up as bad as you could think it could be, our waiter didn’t even wait on us, was constantly gone and only refilled our drinks once, remind you that we were there for 3 hours! And we didn’t even get our food until like 1.5 - 2 hours, place is very loud and you can barely hear the person right next to you
