York Street Cafe NEVER disappoints! We had reservations. Although we were asked to wait 5-10 minutes with apologies, a server came directly to us, took out drink orders and brought them quickly and efficiently. We were seated outside in GORGEOUS seating and the flowers/fauna around us were just beautiful. We had the Baked Brie in phyllo for a starter, which was phenomenal. The seasonal caprese salad was SO good and made of locally sourced ingredients, along with fresh basil grown right there. Salmon was excellent and the peanut butter pie is always to die for. If you have an opportunity to go here, DO IT. Theyâre one of the best in town!

I'll start with the positives: outside patio is lovely, the host and servers were very friendly, and the brie appetizer was delicious. Now to the negatives: entree served over an hour after the appetizer, and they forgot my side dish. Kitchen needs to get its act together! My $38 lamb chops were good but not great. There are no in between priced items. You can get a hamburger or you get $30+/market priced entrees. We had not been there in a long time and just were not impressed.

Iâve gone to York St Cafe through the years and the food has always been good. Irv was great! Desserts (my familyâs favorite course) was actually quite heavy! We ordered a wonderful bottle of wine, too. Love this place! Close to Cincinnati, easy to find parking, great for attending theater in Newport.
We had a wonderful dinner in the Elvis Room. Very funky vibe. The food was good and the service was wonderful. We had a new server who did a wonderful job making sure all our needs were met. Next time we are visiting the area we will definitely go back and order desserts.
