worst experience. Emloyee in a swimsuit, wrapped in a towel, barefoot. walking around beind the counter making drinks for himself. No one running the dining room register. When we asked they said they were busy with the drive thru. after 15 minutes the Person who finally took our order did not give us a receipt and clocked out. The lovely manager tried to argue with my husband about what frosty size we paid for. We won't be back. Not to mention it's not clean.
Messed up a lot of peoples food they suck understaffed.
I just wanna give a shout out to the Newport Wendy’s staff. I’ve never had a bad experience here. My kids love getting Wendy’s and usually we do the drive thru at night. The staff is always so friendly and nice! They are efficient and the food is always right. I also get breakfast from here sometimes and I am picky about my bacon, I like it very crispy, and they always get it right. In a pandemic and with the staffing shortages this Wendy’s has prevailed and overcome and are doing so beautifully! Night and day difference compared to Taco Bell across the street….. seriously don’t even bother trying to go thru Taco Bell’s drive thru you will be sitting stuck in the drive thru line all day! They like to ignore customers in the drive thru line! Just don’t even waste your time and just come over to Wendy’s they will take care of you! Currently waiting for my doordash order from Wendy’s as we speak! Keep up the good work newport Wendy’s! Y’all deserve raises!
Had to hit the drive thru 3x to get our order correct.
Closing the lobby at 8:30pm on a Friday night is BS. Delivering drivers don't get paid enough to sit and wait in you long azz drive thru line. I'll refuse to except orders from this location from now on. Typed this while waiting in line. Not a single car has moved forward.

Quick and fresh food always..There is one thing that I definitely need to say and SADLY usually have to say it every yea! On Memorial Day {in May) they had a sign on their drive-thru that said all Veterans and civil service workers come get free coffee or mighta been something else, in honor of Memorial Day. ( and this is when I start to simmer like a pressure cooker!) Memorial Day is to honor the people who gave the ultimate gift! It is in MEMORANDUM to REMEMBER their SACRIFICE OF THEIR LIFE! Has ZERO to do with Veterans or any workers capable of walking into a restaurant! I can't tell you how many people in America today I have to explain the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day!! Every time somebody says to me as a Veteran happy Memorial Day , I get LIVID!I There is nothing happy about Memorial Day! It is sad and when honor is given to those not with us on this dsy!!! it is not a three day weekend or a free coffee at Wendy's for people it has no business mentioning! That Day is in November!! I take personal offense and the families of people that are supposed to be memorialized on that day take offense!! A big chain like Wendy's to have ignorance in this is UNACCEPTABLE!! Downright disrespectful and Americans at LARGE aren't educated about this. Please Wendy's fix this!! America get it together!! Pople ,when you're flipping your burgers and hotdogs does it even cross your mind who isn't there and who has given you the gift of freedom to even do that!!I am passionate about this and I won't apologize for it!! If you are a door dasher I would recommend ignoring ANY late night orders here, I waited for 45 min (which it was busy so that was not initially an issue) just for the drive through worker to cuss me out and tell me to leave because they’re closed at the order monitor. There were many other dashers there who received that same treatment, so BEWARE of these people.
