This is your old greasy spoon. I go here Sundays after a night out although that's not necessarily the best time to go because that's when you get the church crowd, so it's a little packed.I took some of my friends from the UK and Canada here and they really enjoyed the old school diner feel with endless coffee.Cheap. Reasonably quick. And friendly down to earth Southern style staff.
Okay…I understand your busy I really do.I walk in your rude to me right away and expressed that you were upset with what I had ordered. Why have a all day menu then proceed to take it out on me the customer. The food it’s self was gross 6:30 am and all I hear is you microwaving my food it was half cooked smelled gross the ingredients were really cheap but the completed item was expensive. My quesadilla was made with canned chicken soaking wet with some type of liquid fed that to the dogs along with everything but the Luke warm wings.Besides the service the customers were so stuck up and all had something to say about me I hear them whispering I see you going right along with them complaining about my order and asking “ who orders this at 6:am” the experience was the first and the last thanks for the horrible first impression I’m happy you denied my ten dollar tip the food was already 32$ what a waiste!
Sis's has been a favorite all-day breakfast stop of mine for many years. Recently, I started ordering to go and for delivery. The packaging is perfect and preparation is quick!
As I practice lent, I am always looking for places to eat at on Fridays that have fish and chips. I was recommended this place by my mother and her colleagues, so my fiancé and I gave it a shot.I ordered the cod dinner plate which came with two sides. I picked fries and mashed potatoes. The cod was amazing! They gave me a really big helping of it, and it wasn't greasy nor too thickly breaded. It was juicy, hot, and everything I look for in cod. As for the sides, the fries were average and the potatoes were a good consistency (I like them thick/chunky) but could have used more salt.My fiancé ordered a bacon burger with fries. He said it was okay for a burger, nothing out of this world. I've seen him rave about very few burgers, so for him, this was just average. The waitstaff were extremely polite and helpful. We did have to ask for the check when we were done since no one came to give it to us, but that could have been our fault. Maybe we were supposed to go up to pay and just didn't know. However, if they were supposed to give it to us, we waited around 15 minutes before asking ourselves. The environment was chill, roomy, and comfortable. Not many people were there when we went but I'm sure they are busy during late lunch and dinner since the food was pretty good.Overall, I'd eat here again. The sides were okay but the cod was worth the visit.
Sis's Restaurant? What can I not say about this place you have amazing food, great staff and if you're lucky enough to be there on the nights when they have local musicians/bands, your in for a treat. They have the dates listed of who and when in the menu. They have a very nice bar you can get your basic beer to a very nice wine to go a really good bourbon. But my favorite time is Sunday after church, the place gets packed. Yeah you might have to wait a little bit to get a seat and a little bit for the food but so what, it's worth it. Here's a idea, put the phone away use that time to talk actually talk to the person you are there with.
Horrible, nasty will NEVER BE BACK....... Biscuits and gravy I don't think anyone could mess up biscuits and gravy. Ugh powder mixed with no bacon or sausage, not a hint of anything to even make it taste like anything but yuck...... Ya might as well close.....
Food is okay, poor service. Wanted to order more food and have my coffee refilled but the waitress never came back...a different person came to give me the check after another table got up and paid at the counter
Good traditional American breakfast food. Well prepared.
I've been here a couple of times. I haven't eaten so I can't speak personally on it but people I was with weren't overly complimentary. They had 1 bartender/server but she was on point all night. The band was pretty good.
Best little diner and live music joint there is in Newport KY. They have a smaller than normal menu right now, but the steak, meatloaf, chops, and burgers we all love are still there. Treat the staff well please!
