Average place. Food was pretty quick, staff were okay. Burger Pattie’s were way over done, to the point of being tough. Bun was cool to the touch, almost as if it had been refrigerated and not allowed to warm up, and the cheese never melted. The onion straws were also over done to the point of being unrecognizable, more like the crunchies in the bottom of a frying basket. The barbecue sauce was the only thing that had much flavor and it was all that you could taste.Maybe it was just an off day! I won’t say that I wouldn’t try again if I was back in Newport around lunch time, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to try again.

Suggested by Hotel. Walked there. Took our order but forgot to make it. Two orders behind us got their food first. Burgers were ok. Fries were burnt. Only reason I did not rate it a 2 was their onion rings were good. We would not go there again.

Excellent service and great food. We came here on a weekday with a party of 25 on a field trip after visiting the aquarium. We did not call ahead as we had to change to this restaurant due to a student's food allergy. All 25 of us were served efficiently and without any mistakes to our orders. Food was fresh for each person. Our field trip included two classes of students woth special needs and the cashier was patient with them as they ordered. I was so impressed with the staff and service we received considering our situation. Thank you for making us feel welcomed and for your amazing service!

The owner of this place is amazing, hard working, and very sweet! I cannot say enough about him, plus the food we just got was all phenomenal!! I highly recommend mad mikes!!

The vibes were amazing, the staff was friendly, the food was prepared quickly. However the meals we ordered were underwhelming at best, ordered a burger, hotdogs, and 2 BLTs along with fried pickle and mushrooms, the bacon was over cooked and cheese wouldn't melt, the burger was dry with little flavor and the mushrooms and pickles did not stand out at all, the hot dog was good however

New owners ,new staff. Not as good as the previous owner in any way. Food was burnt and fried were greasy. Gave a tip before food was prepared during purchase. Yet staff made us walk back in to get napkins instead of handing some over through outside carry out window. No customer service . And the kid answering the phones made fun of all the questions asked over the phone once he hung up. I'll never be back to this place.

Our family (11 of us) ate here after visiting the Newport Aquarium today and loved it. Every burger (we tried Texan, MYOB, and Hawaiian 5-0), Cod sandwich (it was huge!), chicken strip, or fry was excellent - no leftovers. MAD Mike's is a legit excuse/alternative to skip eating at a chain spot, would definitely eat here again ?

They're closed on Tuesdays. Other than that, the place has really turned around under new ownership/management. Definitely a spot you'll want to check out when you're in the area and craving a delicious and well-made burger, and it only gets better when paired with the cheesy bacon ranch hand- cut fries.

Stopped by for burgers yesterday at 1:30 pm, to find the doors locked! UPS note on the door. Hours posted as open at 11am; obviously not the case. Thankfully, we decided to do a search locally and found a great place called Arthur's!

I’ve lived in Newport for a total of 4 years and I have to apologize for how long I slept on this place. Today was my first time trying and I can’t wait to go again! Located just a rock throw from Five Guys, I feel like the taste are very comparable for the burgers and the fries. But for me I now prefer Mad Mikes. And the sign “Best Burger in Town” and I now know why.
