This little cool and quaint spot across the river was a pleasant surprise. My wife and I bought a cold brew and ice coffee (single origin from Guatemala; dark chocolate nuts) both with a non-dairy sweetener, respectively.Reese, the owner, was very patient explaining how his koffee shop was different: and we could taste it!We definitely will return.
I'm not sure if it's our lack of understanding in coffee science or just not our literal cup of coffee. My husband and I went in the other day; seeing that this place had a 5 star review. The owner started making our coffee and insisted that we pay when we leave. We did not get the tea (most expensive item on the menu) but 2 cups of coffee. I wanted to pay earlier due to paranoia of forgetting later. I had to take an important call and my husband stayed back to finish his coffee. When he came out after paying, I was shocked to hear that the 8 dollar per cup of coffee I expected added to 30 bucks. To make matters worse, we both only got a small MAYBE 4 onces each of coffee. It started out tasting okay... but as it went on the flavor became worse. On our way home we both got very nauseous and fell sick.Again I don't know if it's our lack of this coffee chemists etiquette and superior knowledge. But I do know that despite how much I and my husband asked for a bill to see what we were charged for, he would not produce it. To add... my husband and I did not have a very good day of nausea and vomiting after.
Great place to go if you enjoy paying and I am not kidding here, almost 10 dollars for less than 4 ounces of coffee. Owner complains of not being able to get good help but I imagine they pay less than minimum wage, no benefits etc.while selling watered down down nasty coffee for 2.25 an ounce.Pretentious, snobby, overpriced.
I'm so thrilled to have Flow as part of our Newport businesses. Flow has a very welcoming and natural feel. I'm lovin their new location and outdoor seating(dogs welcome!) The owner is fully committed to his craft and making sure your experience is the best! There isn't a beverage there that I haven't liked so far.
Talk about coffee wisdom!! The owner is a guru of facts and knowledge about coffee and the best preparation and serving of it! The ambiance of the space is calm and full of natural like and unique art. Very welcoming and pleasant staff and customers! The kombuchas look amazing as well! Everyone should try patronizing here at least once!
The bf and I stopped to support local again for our coffee this morning. Found this little shop on Google and thought hey let's give them a try. The owner Rhys was there and told us a lot about his passion. By far one of the best Coffees we have enjoyed. Please check them out.
Best coffee you can find in the world. The process and research the owner has done into the product offered is something beyond normal. Exceeds expectation and delivers a new meaning of what “coffee” is. I hope to see this technology spread and improve the industry. Highly recommend and this is coming from someone who never writes reviews!
I thought I was a coffee drinker for years. Turns out, I have been drinking faux coffee until today! ? And Kobuca...who knew? Stop in for an experience and education! ? Thanks Rhys!
Wow! Just wow! Rhys puts so much thought and care into preparing each cup of coffee. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the different beans and the flavors they put forth. The delicious brews and quirky yet homey atmosphere keeps us coming back.
I was not expecting to find such a unique coffee shop when I desperately googled coffee because I needed it. This shop blends science and culinary arts to create bold flavor profiles and I've honestly never had coffee that tasted quite like this. The owner definitely knows what he's doing because you can taste how much hard work goes into the finished product.
