Me and my wife stopped by for drinks and sing, we went out to eat before hand and my wife had a non alcoholic smoothie with her. As we got to the door thier was a young lady sitting by the door and told we could not take our drink in. Fine no problem. I was fixing to go in with no drink and I was refused entry I was like I don't have a drink what's the problem? So we left and decide this was not the place for us.

The 3rd Street Dive bar is conveniently located near Fourth Street Live, The Seelbach and Embassy Suites hotels. You'll find a pool table here with karaoke night being on Wednesday's I believe. Late night hours and cheap drink options. Haven't seen live music in here since Covid started which would give it another star if they bring it back.

Were in a group of over 50 year old folks and denied entry because one person did not have an ID. So I would suggest bring your ID with you if your going to this bar :( When we were denied, the bouncer then suggested he didn't like our attitude, even after my wife had to go back to our hotel a have mile from the location.

Just came in for the first time and Ariel, the bartender, was extremely helpful and very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to take a load off. Great atmosphere.

All around a great bar. Fairly priced drinks, fantastic staff, and they handled obnoxiously drunk guests perfectly. I WILL be back.

If you are from out of town, avoid going here, bartender treated us like outsiders, making fun of us with the regulars, and none of the employees are capable of providing any kind of decent service. Our group wanted a small place for a change, but we got split between the doorman, who decided to net let half of our group in on a slow Sunday evening.

Just what the name suggests, it's a dive bar through and through. But would I recommend you stop there??? Hell yea I would. We had an excellent night there, even stayed till closing time, which is very late/early depending on how you look at it. Easily the cheapest place to get a beer. After everything else I'd shut down, and you still want a beer, this is the place. Had karaoke going on which was cool too. I've read some other reviews where people said they were denied entry or didn't get treated friendly, that definitely wasn't the case with me and the guys I went with. They were very welcoming and friendly. Ill definitely go back if I'm ever in Louisville again. Wish I had gotten some pictures to share, maybe next time I will.

Cheap drinks and a partially friendly staff. One lady got very upset with me and was unwarranted with the hostility. Overall nice place to go if you're wanting cheap drinks and late.

Interesting experience. Went while staying in downtown for a graduation. First night was chill, lives up to the name: Cheap beers, walls were dank and music brought back memories of growing up in Cali in the early 2000s. It’s open late so there was a big mix of crowd. The lead bartender kicked some people out for finding beer in their purse…which was a little weird but whatever, it was a good night.Next day we go back, so obviously we had a good time. We get to the front door and suddenly the same bouncer from the night before won’t let us back in. It was so weird. He straight up says, “Oh I know we let you in last night but this is a different situation.” It was the last bar of the night, my partner and I were sufficiently sloshed, and the city was especially pretty that night so we just walked away and boozily sang through the streets leading home.Which is to say if you’re visiting, it’s worth a beer but you may or may not get in. What I can guarantee is it’ll be an experience you’ll laugh about when you look back on, and isn’t that what traveling is all about?

Thursday night karaoke is .... Interesting. Tip your bartender!
