I decided to go out to dinner for my Birthday and I selected Stoney River Steakhouse. When I arrived and was seated, I was sitting across from a fireplace and it was extremely hot. Not warm, but hot. The heat was unbearable, so I requested another table. Yes it was 72 degrees today.Once I was reseated, I ordered a bourbon drink (Draper), New York Strip (Pittsburgh seared) with Aug Gratin Potatoes. My entree arrived in a more than reasonable time frame and the food was hot. While the stea
Everything was good, but my wife's filet was well done (ordered medium). She said it was tender and tasted great, but could have been better if medium. Ribs were delicious.
First time visit. My husband's legendary steak was delicious and recommended. The dry, thin steak on biscuits presented was completely unexpected. The au gratin potatos were good. It's a large portion, all the sauce is around the edges and top leaving the middle a bit dry stacked potatoes. The parmesan garlic fries just tasted like regular fries. My husband said the carrot cake was delicious. The creme brulee was excellent as well.We had a late reservation and was rushed to order. (We called ahead to ask about the late reservation) The gift card from email didn't work. We had to call the person that bought the gift card and all are trying to get that resolved. Gift cards received in email have to be printed however, when the email was opened it said the information for that GC was missing.
Everything was wonderful, especially the mini rolls they bring out with sweet butter. The server was very attentive and the food was cooked to perfection. It was candle lit and very romantic!
We made reservations for 6 pm, and we were seated a few minutes early. Our server was Antonina, and she was tremendous. She was prompt and courteous, attentive but not intrusive. The food was plentiful and delicious. My wife had the lobster bisque, and we shared the vine ripened tomato salad. We both ordered ribeyes and baked potatoes, and we had a birthday cake and key lime pie for desert. Of course we had plenty to take home for later! The entire experience was perfect.
5 Bugs in a drink served from the bar. Manager said “no big deal, bugs must have flown in after drink was set at table and landed there”. I guess he doesn’t realize it’s 15 degrees outside!!?? Very disappointing response…offered drink for free as remedy after 3 bugs had been consumed. Been one of my favorite places for many years…Going downhill…
My wife and I came here for a date night. Great service. I ordered the coffee crusted steak with au gratin potatoes. The coffee crusted steak they have is my favorite steak from anywhere. We will be back again for another date night soon!
Prime rib was cooked correct and au gratin potatoes were good. My husband had trio medallions and they were ok but small in price for cost. His broccoli was terrible and server never removed it from the bill. Lobster bisque was good but would have been great with more lobster. For two of us to eat $179.00 with drinks, soup, meal and one dessert I expect great service.
First time here and this place did not disappoint. From the atmosphere, food and service by our waiter Josh B. OMG!! I wish I could just take Josh with me to every restaurant I go to, he is so personable, and PHENOMENAL! We were a party of 10 and he stayed on top of everything, never had an empty cup, always was checking on all of us, his service to us was one of the BEST I've ever experienced! The food was great too, and cheaper than I had imagined!
The entire dining experience is exceptionally outstanding beginning with the ambience, to the waitstaff including separate drink and food servers, the plated presentations, the personalization of service, the attention to detail, and the incredibly delicious food and adult beverages. Bring your big boy wallet as Stoney River Steakhouse is proud of their prices, as they should be, for delivering an AMAZING epicurean treasure.
