I typically don’t write reviews but I wanted to warn everybody. My friends and I came up to Louisville for a convention this week. To be proactive we decided to place a pick up order for 5:30 to get ahead of the dinner crowd. When we arrived at 5:15, I asked about our order. The lady handing out food said our orders were not found and they said we were going to be okay cause it would come through soon. My friends and I proceeded to wait 20-25 minutes and still heard nothing. At this point, the dinner crowd was heading in and we were getting very agitated. I went up again to ask if there was any updates on our orders since we had been waiting so long. The lady pulls all of our orders from the shelf…. They had been sitting there the whole time. The ticket says the order was completed by 5:15. The same time we got there. By the time we had finally gotten back to our hotel, the food was soggy and cold. I’ve never been so disappointed with the terrible organization and service from this restaurant. Please be careful before online ordering.
First time customer and loved it! I'm not a big burger guy but wanted to see what all rge hype was about and let me tell ya., not bad at all! I hardly the avocado burger fries and a strawberry shake which so good. A like bit of a wait but got it within a reasonable amount if time. All In all, I will be back. Keep up the great work y'all!!
Never been. Figured let's see what it's about. Typical burger joint. I thought the smash name came from how they made the meat. Kinda looked like they smashed the burgers before wrapping it in a grease covered wrapper. From kitchen to our table that's what the bag looked like. Just soaking in grease. The burger pictured is the bacon double. What I found funny was on tvs they show sandwiches...mine looked like the 3rd cousin twice removed when compared to what was on TV. Probably should change that. The smash tots, little twist. Tasted like parm and oregeno or somethin along those lines. Not bad. $29 bucks for 2 burgers, tots, shake and a beer. I don't think the price is terrible. And the food was decent. Step above McDonald's at least. Place was also a mess. We gave up and sat at a table with the least amount of crumbs on it. Someone did walk the floor half way thru us eating. But it was just to check the condiments at each table. The lady that took our order was very friendly. Having never gone but heard about it....I can at least say now I've been. I can't say I would go out of my way to eat here again but wouldn't kick someone out the car for wanting to. Bring hand wipes and maybe a wash cloth. The grease...sticks with you. Something else I noticed, looks like the company goes and posts pics of staged food. 23 days ago a bunch of beautiful sandwich pics were posted. That is definitely not what you will get. Don't disappoint yourself and think it comes out all prim and proper. Its shoved into a bag and you find your table.
We went there twice, second time was better. We got the kids single burger n tots the first time n The double cheese n sweet potato fries the second which was better, what I didn't like was the single burger came plain and you couldn't get any other toppings so I thought it was kinda boring, I would go back to try another different one to see when we are back in LOUISVILLE
Definitely not worth the 45 minute wait to order and get my mushroom Swiss burger. The beef pattie was so tiny that I couldn't see it until I took the top bun off. Very disappointing and not worth the money!
Our first time eating at Smash Burgers. Everything tasted great! Double smash burger, chicken tenders, tator tots, and brussel sprouts were all very tasty!
After today I will no longer come to this location. About month ago I ordered through Postmates and they messed up the entire order. The bacon was undercooked along with the beef. Their smash fries were just fries without any flavoring on them. I called the store immediately after it occurred. They told me the next time I come in just let the person taking my order know and we would get free meals for their mistake. When I came in to get my free meals the manager was extremely rude. I the manger could not remember the manager's name that told me to come in. I assumed that an establishment would take down my name and information needed for me to get the free meals not the other way around. Then this manager proceeded to flutter his eyes at me rudely while I was talking and asked "If I was done?". He was extremely disrespectful. He also didn't identify himself as a manager. I came back in to speak to the manager and he identified himself as the manager. After I said you are the manager and this is how you treat your customers? He proceeded to kick me out of the establishment. Do not go to this location they do not care about their customers and the manager obviously doesn't care about his establishment otherwise he would know how to address the issues formally and effectively.
The restaurant was clean floor was mopped and no tables were dirty so that was nice to see the shake was pretty good the burger was cold and not very good! I picked it up and I actually came pretty early which I’m glad I did because the food would have been very old otherwise, tot’s also cold but still tasted good the experience was ok I’ll go back and try it again on a different day and see how it is
A deeply kind and hardworking staff full of life even in the worst conditions. They were incredibly fun and kind during one of the worst rushes I've ever seen here today at the KMEA conference. I had to leave before my order was ready, but when I returned they remade it for me and on top of that the food was just great.
Placed a pick up order with uber eats for this location, once i got up front and asked for my order i was informed my order was already picked up. Showed the manager my ubereats confirmation that showed i had not picked up the order yet. But was then told there wasnt anything they could do and that they couldnt re make the order without my going thru ubereats first even tho it was their mistake. I understand that the store was busy, but refusing to fix your mistake has turned me off of this store.
