Good as usual. The gumbo was very good. The beignets were not as good as usual, but still tasty/not as airy as they should be. Hubs got Mediterranean omelette & was very good. No room for dessert
Short staffing led to delays and confused service elements. Management needs to respond better (take fewer reservations) when impacted by low staff levels. I'll be back for the food, but reconsider my visit unless staffing increases
Food is always good, great spot.
The apps were generously large, all the food was terrific, the place is charmingly eccentric and aggressively local - I doubt youâd find it in any tour guide or best-of list because itâs sufficiently out of the way that no travel writer would ever find it. But itâs quite a place. We drive out from the city fairly often and have never been disappointed.
Great experience
Seat was dirty I had food on the back of my pants really surprised too have that happen overall the experience was nice weâll be back hopefully the seats in the boothâs are cleaner.
Great shrimp n grits, salad and shrimp manale. Service was friendly and prompt. Food came out quick and was good quality. Unique and fun setting
Selenas has the most delicious array of Creole and American cuisine - and a Bar/Fine Dining ambiance. Friday's Clam Chowder is the best ever! Take a look at the web site and menu! Ask for Andrew - our waiter, you wont be disappointed:)
Excellent food, best bread pudding with rum sauce , beautiful resultant. The waiter was slow. But the manager JR was very welcoming and on the ball.
In Louisville attending grandaughter's soccer game found Selena's through open table and glad we did. I love Cajun food and was not disappointed. We had four in our party with reservation so when we got there we were immediately seated and our server, Denise, greeted us promptly and was "Johnny on the spot" thereafter. Ambiance I think is best described casual with high energy, outside seating blended effectively with the inside. up Between the four of us we had oysters and stuffed shrimp for appetizers, followed with entres of blackened catfish, blackened red fish manale, salmon filet and I couldn't decide between the three New Orleans entres so i chose the New Orleans Medley and glad I did. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered and claimed they would definitely order again. I'm not much for bread pudding but one member of our party loves it so we ordered two for the table one would have been sufficient. The bourbon brandy sauce complimented the bread pudding to the point it made non bread pudding fans like myself become fans. The only down side to Selena's is the parking. Somewhat limited but is handled well by the valet staff. Looking forward to our next visit
