Loved this restaurant in every aspect… We came on a very busy night with a large party including three children and we’re still taken well care of… Anthony was amazing! The food was excellent across-the-board and the fresh oysters were large and tasty… Everything Anthony suggested was spot on. Nice job with a complicated table on a busy night! We will be back!
Only giving one star because ordered large seafood salad (to go), went straight home, placed in refrigerator, couple hours later, noticed the smell and taste was off, thought perhaps used different seasoning, but realized it was bad, threw it away. In the past, have always loved their seafood salad, but this was quite unfortunate for supposedly a good seafood restaurant. I attempted to call restaurant to bring this to their attention…mailbox was full. Fortunately, rest of our meals were good.
We had a huge, like 30 people, group and the waitress did a wonderful job keeping up with all our needs and keeping our waters filled. Not super impressed with the wings or the fries but the staff did a wonderful job. I might go back to try something else on the menu.
Over priced. Fish sandwich came with one side, Ice Tea. $17.36 + tip. Fish was just average taste, but was good size helping. Nothing special about the environment. Long wait for food. Won't go back. I think people go there for the Oysters & liquor.
Rating may be due to my food selection I was with my wife to meet some folks there. My wife is not a big seafood fan so we ordered buffalo chicken tenders and fries to share. Both were just warm and to be honest I have had better chicken from the grocery frozen food section.
Great entree selection. I had their fish sandwich with a side of cole slaw. Others at the table shared a basket of grouper bites and a basket of clam strips. All of the items were delicious. Our server was very courteous and took good care of us. Plenty of parking located on Shelbyville Road in Middletown.
Although I’ve lived in Louisville my whole life I have to say this was my first time eating at rumors! The food is out of this world. I had the fish sandwich with fries no bread and it was three huge pieces of fish I had leftovers to take home for dinner! I set at the bar and watched the cook!!!! he was amazing he was fantastic he was poetry in motion watching him prepare all this food fresh! If you have not been there go! It is my new go to place for fish and everything else! I cannot wait to go back and try other items from the menu! My next one will be the clam chowder. It’s made from scratch!One of my best dining experiences in a long while!!!
What an awesome place to gather with friends/family for beers, wings and seafood! Our server was great and so was the food! No wonder Rumors is still killing it well into their 4th decade in business!
No call ahead, so be ready to wait. It's worth it. We have a large party that acquired three tables. They were accommodating. Food come and we ate. Wins and fries; both delicious. Will come again
