Fried Chicken, Plaintains, Cornbread and some of the BEST Cabbage I've EVER encountered! ?Got a couple beef oatyies to go! ??
Honey I was eating before I even pulled off. I ordered the oxtails, rice and beans, cabbage, and mac for $14. The oxtails are tender and delicious but a little sweet. My least favorite was the rice and beans that tasted a little scorched. I'm not use to plantain automatically coming with the meal. But I know for next time. In addition I ordered the curry chicken special which is just rice and beans with chicken for $7. I wish I'd ordered the curry chicken dinner and side of oxtails but either way I would recommend Roof top Grill!!!
This is my favorite restaurant by far. I've have eaten here Friday, Saturday and now Sunday if this past week. The food is EXCELLENT!!! I brought my daughter some yesterday, now she returned with me today. Along with great food, the customer service is good too. The oxtails, Mac and cheese, greens, jerk chicken etc. Finest in town.
This place is AMAZINGLY one of the best food places here. They’re sides have been good for three days straight. Yes, I said THREE. It’s so good I keep coming back. I haven’t tried anything on the menu yet that wasn’t satisfying. The price is fabulous as well. Just a great well rounded place lol definitely a favorite!
Tons of fat on the Ox Tails which I didn't order and they refused to honor my receipt. Owners daughter was rude and front counter attendant was extremely rude and disrespectful. I will never go there again
When I miss my dad, as he passed in 2003, I usually eat our favorite confort foods Jamaican curry chicken with rice and peas. This is the most authentic tasting place that I've tried almost tasting like my grandma's cooking. Thanks so much for the culinary memories. ???
Staff kinda rude and the jerk chicken if you call it that ain’t hitting on nothing but the price was cool. Baked chicken with store bought jerk marinade poured over the top ain’t it
One of the main items that myself and other customers LOVE is the oxtails. But if you’re not there when they open you won’t get them. I’m curious as to why they don’t cook more and just charge a higher price. Out of 10 visits there I’ve only got oxtails once!! The reason I got them was because I parked and waited until they unlocked their doors. You can’t order online, you can’t call in an order, and reaching out thru Facebook is comical. I love when I go there and can actually eat what I want because most of the time I’m settling for what else is on the menu because they are out of what I want most. I do recommend people eat there but don’t be upset when you realize almost every day they’re open they have ran out of oxtails. I’m ordering food here now and again they don’t have oxtails so I’m settling for other stuff. Charge 20$ a plate please ppl will pay!!
Haven't been to roof top grill since it was on 38th and Broadway. Brother in law told me and my husband where the new location is. Stopped by today and YES dem oxtail still ON POINT ? !!! Everything was well seasoned and flavorful . We will be back??
The food is authentic, to anyone who enjoys the flavor of The West Indies, & Caribbean. I miss the taste of Ox Tail, & Curry Goat. I enjoyed Jerk Shrimp; Red Beans&Rice; Plantain. It was pleasant to eat the plantain, knowing it was the last thing, added to the meal. Freshly cooked, hot...The meal was delicious, with an extra cold A&W Root Beer. Thank you.
