The ramen at ramen house is far above average. You can tell that they make their stock in house, and that it is made in the traditional lengthy process, no corners cut on time or quality. The one issue I've encountered over my many many visits, and it's a very negligible one at that, is their consistency. 95% of the time, it's amazing. About twice now I've had a fluke, I believe it was one anyway. One bowl tasted like pure sesame oil, another was extremely salty. I've since ordered the same bowls again, and found them to be absolutely delicious. So, if you happen to get an off bowl of ramen, just let them know and I'm sure they would take care of it. Also, know that that isn't the norm, and you should give it another shot.
Been here once before, this is our second time here. We got the Shoyu and Spicy Miso Ramen this time and both were awesome! I highly recommend getting the extra Nori with your ramen (an extra 50 cents), and we really preferred the pork over the chicken - the pork slices were seared PERFECTLY (probably the best part of the dish). We got some hot tea too; unfortunately tea was rather diluted - it was much better once we combined 2 tea bags into our hot tea kettle. Our server was really friendly and attentive. Despite having 3-4 couples ahead of us when we arrived at 8.15pm, the line moved rather quickly. It took quite awhile (20-30 minutes) for our food to arrive, with the restaurant being at around 70% capacity. Other than that, everything else was great! Would be back for more!
My partner and I got the Bibimbap (vegetarian) and curry bowl (vegetarian). We enjoyed both. The prices were very fair to the food we got so really no complaints. I would love to see more vegetarian dishes though. Staff appeared busy but were very attentive to the customers. They also accepted customers within the last 20-25 minutes of closing which is impressive.
I want this everyday. I live an hour away and will drive there to eat. The ramen is really good and I have lived in Japan and got some the best ramen iv ever had and this is really close. do not go there without getting Bulgogi buns.. you won't regret getting them.
I've tried Ramen from Washington DC to Atlanta and this place is up there with the best of them. Very flavorful & the portions are good. I didn't really like the location but there is ample parking and the restaurant itself is very nice. worth the drive from anywhere in Louisville In my Opinion.
