Wonderful food and relaxing atmosphere. Love the music and the entire staff were courteous and attentive
Absolutely wonderful dining experience! I was in town to be with family and a friend suggested Pat's. It will be my go to restaurant in Louisville going forward. The building is very historical and the ambience is quintessential for a steak house. The portions were large and very reasonable compared to any other similar establishment. The drinks were well made and the steaks perfectly cooked. Do not miss the homemade blue cheese salad dressing! Deserts were excellent and entire staff was friendly...even the owner stopped by the table to make sure every thing was satisfactory. Family owned and truly a "one-of-a-kind" dining experience.
Had just a wonderful meal here as a kick off to a guys Bourbon Trail tourism weekend. Outstanding representation of old school hospitality and restaurant sensibility. Very friendly staff and a family vibe. Steaks were delicious, and great homemade blue cheese dressing for your salad. Then some melt in your mouth delicious cake to finish it all off. Could not have had a better meal. The four of us were blown away. Thank you so much!
Service was great , no complaints there. Food was horrible and who doesn’t season there steak. I’ve been too many I mean many steak house and not once have I never seen someone not season there steak. Shrimp cocktail was served with ketchup there was no horseradish there. Salad was from
My favorite steak place. Highly recommended
Came here a little while ago, looked at the menu and literally shed a few tears, because of how high the prices were. We stopped in here on a Saturday because all of the other establishments were on a 2 hr wait or more. The place was mostly empty of customers, but they sat me and my partner all the way in a backroom at the back booth by the kitchen. I would also like to state that I am a person of color, and they gave us the dirtiest of looks when we came in there and asked for a table. Then, when we ordered the food, it was not even as good as Texas Roadhouse, despite the terribly high prices. The steak was flavorless, the only thing I liked was the sour cream with the baked potatoe. Also, the staff who clean up after you are mostly young black men and that really rubbed me the wrong way, it was like walking into the 1950's. And NOT in a good way. Another thing, 3 different staff members asked me "So what's the special occasion?" While we were in there. If you know you know.
I've eaten here at least 3-4 times. It's important to support local restaurants and this place has been here for years. At one point, they only accepted cash but now take credit. The steaks are decent but I am not sure if they are getting the same cuts as Ruth's Chris. I think the steaks here may not be as tender.
We have been going to pats for years and had several Christmas party’s there and loved itRecently we went and had the worst service experience I have ever had at any restaurantThe service was horrible! To many things to even list here. When we got the bill the waiter had put an almost 40% tip on it.Had Pat come to the table and he did not seem to even care. He did let us put our own tip on but then I seen him patting the waiter on the back like a job well done. It’s sad how bad it was!
Friendly and nice atmosphere, but the food wasn’t very good. Salmon had very little flavor and the NY strip didn’t have much flavor at all. Sweet potato fries were good.
I had high hopes but sad to say we left disappointed. For dinner we ordered steaks cooked med, one with a baked potato and the other with a sweet potato. Server comes back a while later and says “I’m sorry but we ran out of baked and sweet potatoes”. Not something you want to hear when you love a baked potato with your steak. My coke glass was empty so he said that he was getting me refill.Steaks come out, one is med-well the other is well. The taste wasn’t anything to write home about. I’ve had just as good at much cheaper places. I really needed A1 and I shouldn’t need A1 at a high end steak house. Mine was well done so that could have something to do with it.The sweet potato fries that replaced the sweet potato had a couple of regular steak fries mixed in which isn’t the presentation I expect when paying $150 for a meal.Coke refill did show up when I was about done.Server was slow to return most of the night. Lot of time spent sitting and waiting. Took about 2 hours to be seated and eat.
