I normally don’t make these reviews but they were extremely rude over nothing.First my friend order a Dr Pepper and then asked for a water a little bit later, instead of handing her a water they just pour water into the Dr Pepper. My friend then tried to explain she would like a water- not a soda mixed with water and the lady was very rude and said “do you want a water or not” and had an attitude almost the whole time. And then on top of that they charged the wrong orders with different peoples payments. They used the cash for one order that had a completely different price because one friend just ordered a salad and water while the other ordered a larger meal, instead of fixing it, they asked if my friend could just pay for both. Literally said “could you pay for hers too?” With an attitude. Services was not what we expected.
Always good. Always fresh and the porions are like no other place I have been and I lived in Japan. People are wonderful too.
They didn't know the difference between nigiri and gunkan. I ordered from the nigiri menu hoping for scallop nigiri but they gave me gunkan chopped up scallop with fish eggs. I've lived in Japan for 6 years and I've never had this misunderstanding. When I tried to explain that what I got wasn't what I ordered, the manager just yelled at me. I was expecting mediocre sushi but not horrible service on top of it.
Today, I came in almost 2 hours before close. My starters were great. It was busy so I figured my food would take a while. Servers walked past me over and over and didn't check in. Finally, I asked about my sushi and they had given my food to the wrong table. I wasn't served until closing time and while eating they had the bathroom doors open to clean and it smelled horrible. Ruined my appetite. I love sushi and couldn't even finish my food. Cashiers kept forgetting my check after saying they would get it for me and didn't even offer a discount or a gift card just said sorry and walked away. Worst sushi experience I've ever had. I come from management and couldn't believe they did that. Even started closing while I sat there waiting for food given to someone else. They were more worried about closing than customer satisfaction.
Food was pretty good, good quality served in a timely manner. However, as someone who does not frequent the establishment, I was treated with disdain when asking what options they had for salad dressing. The response I received was rude and dismissive. Service is a key feature of a restaurant experience, and having that type of experience discourages me from coming back to try other things
Don't let the appearances fool you. This is some of the best sushi in Louisville. Get the green roll. You're welcome in advance
Been coming here the last 10 years. Each time in town felt like a must eat place but overtime Service has been hit and miss.Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - thumbs up - definitely recommend. Great balance of quality and quantity!!Service: Might be catching some of these people on bad days or they're flashing back to bad experiences they had with others but yikes. Asking workers simple (food/receipt) related questions shouldn't have someone on the defense like that. Talking over a person (rolling eyes, walking off) before they even finished asking the question, then annoyed having to listen to it all over again after missing parts the first time sucks for both parties. I'm sure they deal with alot but that's no excuse or crutch not to own growth where its needed. Its a customer service related position.Overall nothing but great things to say about the food and nothing more really on everything else.
My son Ian and I went here one evening after seeing their sign coming home. The Big Daddy cone roll was perfect, and their spider roll was incredible.
I've been going to Oishii for more than 20 years and I've never been disappointed once. Wonderful service, consistently outstanding food.
Been going for years and female manager, maybe owner was rude! Ordered a roll. Ate one slice and it was not good. I ordered my regular volcano roll a send she refused to take it off my bill. Started raising her voice and belittling me. Doubt I will ever go back.
