Food is decent. Don't expect a smiling customer service greeting. We walked in and the first thing she did was cough into her hand before she served us. Had an attitude completely the entire time ordering. The place was empty yet no one had cleaned the trash areas in hours. Used to like it, but not so much anymore.

Stopped in randomly for tamales. The tamales were floating in water in a hot pan (first and only red flag I needed). When I got the tamales , water was collecting at the bottom of the box…they were soaking wet! Once I opened them, they were extremely soggy, tamales are not supposed to be soggy like old cereal. I have had homemade tamales and these were not the equivalent. Will I give this restaurant another chance ? Probably not. I have had homemade Cuban food and this did not measure up at all.

Portion size was awesome, definitely did not leave hungry. They have lots of choices, and it was all delicious. We had congris, white rice, brisket, pollo de la piña, and maduros. Will definitely be back to try more!

Very expesive for what i was personally served. Asked for fried plantain or maduros and was told these were not available, and i was not offered a substitute which a later saw then serving to others.Just average Cuban food (and i know what I am talking about).

I normally don't like foreign food outside of my comfort zone, but the food here was pretty good. I don't like onions or lettuce or anything but the small amount of onions that were on the food for this was amazing. The interior wasn't too bad, but still decent to look at while eating. Didn't have the TV on but it didn't matter when you're smashing good food.

Food was okay. No Cuban sandwich. Too much rice with order, very little meat. Plantains were good

Just because the open sign in the window isn’t lit up and the whole place looks generally closed, don’t let that deter you. This is well worth getting out of your car to check if they’re actually open or not. It is in no way Tex-Mex or Cipotle. It’s a choice of different kinds of rice, all delicious, and different kinds of protein, also all delicious. Different from anything we’ve had before but very easy to eat… And seriously inexpensive! When we saw how much food he was putting on our first plate, my wife and I decided to just go with that for the both of us and we walked away completely full (but not the bad kind either). If you live in or are passing through Louisville you must try this place. The master is also a one-man festival. GO!

You walk in and the restaurant smells amazing. It's super quick to get your food, and the food tastes amazing. They don't always have everything on the menu available, but that's understandable for a small restaurant cooking with fresh ingredients.

This was our first time here. My wife had the chicken leg quarter with roasted veggies, cilantro rice and plantains. It was all delicious. I on the other hand had the Cuban sandwich, and it was very disappointing. The pork was cold, there was very little mustard, there was no pickles, and the single piece of ham was sliced so thin you could see through it. Judging by my wife's food, and what I saw other people get, I'm giving four stars and recommending avoiding the Cuban sandwich.

This place is unpretentiously phenomenal. The food is echelons above fast food, the man who sells the food makes you feel at home immediately. I cannot recommend this place enough.
