Other than my mishap of driving to the wrong location (which the waitress was very understanding of and completely understood my sense of humor about the situation), everything was good! I've had Mark's before at other locations and haven't been overly impressed, but this location did really well with the ribs and the sides weren't bland as my experience in the past had led me to expect. Overall the Fern Creek location I feel like is a hidden gem for Mark's Feed Store!
I went for lunch with a work mate. I ordered burgoo and pork sandwich. My work mate ordered chicken tenders..The burgoo was not exceptional, salt was slightly high. Nothing to get excited about.A good size pulled pork sandwich, as expected pork was tender and not too flavourful, sauce was a must. The bun is a big no no. If I go back, I will definitely ask for no bun.My work mate did not like his tenders, they looked like fried frozen fish sticks.
We can enjoy this MFS bc it's not overly crowded when visiting. We went about 1-1:30.Seems the senior crowd likes it too and they are quiet. I noticed the music was not loud either which is a plus for those with hearing issues.The food... I order the lite menu that is 4 ozs. of pork, turkey or beef on a single slice of Texas toast. Your choice of one or two sides. BTW...they have sweet potato fries sprinkled with cinnamon sugar! Delish! The baked beans are the sweet kind, which I love. The slaw is more sweet than vinegar. The sweet tea is spot on too. Close your eyes and you could be in the south!These items are what I consistently order.The waitresses are also very friendly and aim to please. Tip them please for coming to work!Visit the MFS in Fern Creek, I think you will return.?
It was ok. The waitress seemed put out that our group was there. She was slow and not attentive at all. The food was ok but definitely not something I would go pay for again. Eating out is too expensive these days to not thoroughly enjoy your food! The room we were in was hot. Probably won't return unless my group meets there again. Then I'll just order a drink and appetizer maybe.
The Fern Creek location is absolutely amazing. Always very friendly, smiling, and helpful not to mention they love a good joke. The food is always very well cooked, and very prompt. Your short wait for amazing food is well worth it. Food so good you will have trouble deciding what to choose to eat.
Their brisket sandwich with spicy fries is so delicious. I like their brown bbq sauce but the light brown one is better on pulled chicken
The food was really good! I got pulled chicken and they gave me some pickles and onions on the side. And I never had it like that before.So I put some pulled chicken on the pickle and onion on top and folded it like a taco and dipped it in the BBQ sauce and ??lol now I can't see myself eating the pulled chicken without the pickles and onion again. Also my sides mac and cheese and baked beans was delicious ?
We had a party of 13 and they seated us in the bar area at tables they moved for us. We had 2 servers and they were both friendly and efficient. Food was yummy as always. Sadly the restaurant was not busy and the table they chose to put us at was along a wall of windows in 15 degree weather. Many of us kept our coats on and the toddler in our group was covered with his parents coats to stay warm. I am sure it was easier for them to keep the mess in a small space. It was just frigid.

First time there. Chicken tenders was good, mac and cheese & baked potato was very good. Ribs were so tender they were falling from bone. Definitely be back.
