Went here for lunch today and it was fantastic. I got the reuben and a coffee. Lovely atmosphere, friendly people, and lots of lunchtime options to choose from. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat.
Quick stop while in town on impromptu spring break trip to Louisville. Checked several places to eat and decided on The Main Eatery. It was a great choice! We had the Tuesday blueplate special and soup and it was excellent :) My daughter had the Kentucky Ham sandwich on white and the bread was great. We would be frequent visitors if we lived in the area. Had a great chat with the owner who was friendly and informed us about several places to visit in the area!
The food was really good and fresh, and when we told them we were in a rush, they finished our food very quickly. We had like 20 orders and it only took 15 minutes. Also, they donated some of the money to pay an animal shelter, it's so wholesome! The atmosphere is really nice and the signs are funny! Please go there if your in the area!

Every major city has a nice local sandwich shop downtown that is a community staple. This is Louisville's. Locally renowned food with superb service.
This place was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and the gentleman working the register was delightful to talk with. Hope to visit again the next time I am in town.
Tasty local sandwiches, soups, and sweets. Very kind staff welcoming of tourists. A great lunch stop within walking distance of tourist stops. Quick counter service. Charming restaurant. Doing their best to keep up COVID precautions.

We found this place while figuring up a long weekend to Louisville and I feel that the reviews can never do a place justice. I got a chicken salad sandwich, and it’s absolutely amazing. Don’t let the long line deter you, it’s well worth the wait!
Food was absolutely spectacular. Everything was very fresh, and there was a good variety of options. The atmosphere was relaxing, and it had a very home-like feel. The staff was very welcoming, which made us come back a second time. Thanks David and Floyd for a great two meals!
