I stayed here for a few days earlier this month. The hotel staff are kind and welcoming and my room was comfortable. However, despite the hotel being very busy, the large bar in the lobby was not open Sunday or Monday night. The restaurant was open but MOBBED. The M Lounge is open for breakfast but does not offer much throughout the day. Housekeeping is intermittent. Everyone at the hotel keeps blaming COVID, but come on, enough is enough.
This hotel was excellent overall. It was conveniently located to the convention center, and provided a nice indoor walkway. Staff was friendly and polite. The only negative is that housekeeping was extremely sporadic. I stayed for one week. Sometimes they'd come two days in a row, sometimes they wouldn't come at all, sometimes I'd be asleep and ask them to come later and they never would. It was just odd. I understand Covid, but there was no consistency whatsoever. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and I recommend it for anyone who has business at the convention center.
Awesome time at the Marriott Downtown Louisville. Wonderful staff, rooms were nice and clean. Hotel was in walking distance to good food and entertainment. Front desk and valet staff were very accommodating. We’d stay again.
Stayed here for a conference. Beautiful and clean hotel. Great location. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Absolutely loved the valet staff. The food the hotel staff provided for our conference was so delicious.
Rare 5 of 5 for me. Very nice, and updated hotel. Check in was seemless. Getting here was easy. Rooms are spacious and corner rooms like mine are also very nice and bright. Restaurant and bars on site. Seems quiet enough for downtown and in range of walking around to other places.
I enjoyed my stay. Staff were attentive ti needs and delighted to help. Restaurants offers great menu. The only thing is I can't get a good answer about breakfast. I end up just grabbing elsewhere, a starbucks Kiosk is in the hotel which is a bonus.
The hotel was beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. The service was AMAZING! Brandon helped us with our car and bags when we got there and was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Every employee we ran into was so nice. I would definitely stay here again.
Most amazing hotel nestled in downtown Louisville. The moment you walk in the hotel you feel like your home. The front atrium area has this beautiful welcoming lobby bar with the most incredible Bourbon Room , yes I said it a bourbon room in a hotel!!!! The staff has this pride of ownership that is contagious. Had an amazing Ribeye in the Porch Restaurant, I would recommend the “Manhattan “!!!! Rooms are freshly remodeled and the shower heads are amazing!!! Had a sound sleep!! It could have been the ribeye and the Manhattan but pretty sure it was the mattress!!! Great Hotel and staff!!!
My husband and I had stumbled across the Marriott in downtown Louisville a couple of years ago to grab some Starbucks. We loved the space and told ourselves the next time we returned to Louisville, that we would stay here. Since that visit from a few years ago, the Marriott has gone through a massive renovation. You can feel the modernization throughout the hotel--it's a beautiful space. We visited on Derby weekend, which, as everyone knows, is one of the most crowded weekends in hospitality across the city. My husband and I were very impressed with the Marriott team across the board--every single person we met had a smile, wanted to know how they could help us, and truly tried to go above and beyond to meet or exceed our expectations. We met Kirsten, Ally and Allie when we first checked in. All of them greeted us with the type of open arms hospitality that you wish for after a long day of traveling (and long evening of packing, getting work done, etc.). I loved that every team member we met had some type of fascinator or Derby hat for the weekend--it really added to the ambiance and spirit! After check-in, Taylor and Kirsten greeted us with a beautiful welcome amenity at our room! We shared some laughs and stories and both were so kind and welcoming to us--answering any questions while also filling us in on some of the recent history of the hotel. It was the perfect way to kick off our stay with them, and we felt so much love and kindness from them both. During our stay, we had multiple interactions with Oliver, who we became fast friends with. After a long night of drinking, my husband and I always crave some orange juice, and Oliver was super helpful with this request. :-) I also used the M Lounge multiple times while there, which was helpful for some quick snacks, coffee, or water. We also became fast friends with Taylor, who always greeted us with a big hug and smile, and had time with us to share stories, talk about plans for the day, answer questions, etc. Both he and Oliver were the team members we interacted with the most while we were there, and we always looked forward to seeing them! We were very happy to have the opportunity to be introduced to the GM, David, and his wife one of the evenings while we were there. Both were so warm and kind, and David and I continued to correspond throughout the weekend. I cannot begin to express what an incredible team David leads at this property. It is also my understanding that the Marriott brought in additional team members from other properties to help support this very busy weekend. One of the valets, Mo or Omar, was incredibly kind to us. We weren't able to determine if he was full time in Louisville or one of the team members who was brought in from a different property--but we did want to recognize his service and helping us to find a taxi when there were no Ubers available. This kind of service and attention to detail makes out of town guests feel that much more at home and helps to drive our continued loyalty to the Marriott brand. Sending huge hugs, love, and immense gratitude from Denver! We can't wait to return. Wishing you and the entire Marriott family a wonderful summer ahead!
