well the food is very good. but be prepared to negotiate ! I'm half joking but there are no prices on the menu. and everyone knows in a negotiation that the first person to mention price loses. so you inevitably are going to ask so how much are these tacos anyway? and they're going to look at you and size you up and say well you dress good and you have nice glasses and we saw that car you came up in and those tacos are $5 each. they can say whatever they want. and then oh you got the special version so that it's an extra dollar. and oh by the way we do not speak English you know so I misunderstood and I brought out six tacos instead of three. that's really what happened I wanted three tacos they brought out six I had to send back three or pay for them all. I have money I could have paid for them all, but it's the principal. and like I said the menu does not have prices on it so you really don't know what you're buying it doesn't say how many tacos are in an order so you I thought they were two tacos per order I thought their definition of a taco was two tacos. so it's a little confusing be prepared for that. but the food was good very authentic it was fast.
Personally, I think La Rosita has the best tacos in Louisville...which is why it saddens me to give them 2 stars. If it was on food alone it's a 5, but the problem is actually getting the food. The past 3 times I have visited them, they have been closed during hours they have been listed open. This includes weekdays and weekends. I've gone up to 3 hours before closing only to pull up and the parking lot is either empty or has another 1 or 2 frustrated to-be customers outside. Twice, the owner or store manager has been inside and rudely waved us out from inside the store without a word. In addition the past 2 tines I have actually managed to find them open the same woman has been rude and completley inattentive to my girlfriend or friends and I. It's not so much in your face rude, but more just a "you're presence is bothering me." Well that's what happens when you run a restaurant....you have customers. Nothing but good thing to say about the employees behind the food line though. Just wish this place had better management or changed their hours to reflect reality. I guess it's time I try the other 15 places opening shop in the city.
Prices on tacos have gone up to 4 bucks. If you go up that much at least throw an avocado... dam more tortilla than anything. I liked this place before but not no more
Foods great but they seem to have changed their hours and they now close at 5:30 so keep that in mind.
We love stopping in for tacos here if we get the chance. Cheap and delicious, can’t ask for better than that!
Great staff food was on point delicious!!!
This food is simply authentic and delicious..! I highly recommend..! Nice people... good vibe. Must have the chorizo burrito! Tacos are awesome!
Kind prompt service. Hot delicious food. I had al pastor tacis and chicken torta. Will definitely be back!
The tacos were pretty good but the lady at the counter was kind of rude and very short with my wife and I. The table they wanted us to sit at was dirty so we just sat across from it no big deal. I got some carnitas and they were good. My wife got asada and it was good too but they were very soggy and the bottom ripped all the way down in the first bite. The restaurant itself was a little run down looking.
Always delicious. The Al pastor is amazing and the sauces are on point. I hear the caldos are also excellent
