The Server was very polite and kept up with the party of 30 for the most part. The food and quality was over cooked, dry and just plain horrible for fish and shrimp at the price of $16. The fries were the only enjoyable part of the meal. The cole slaw smelled really bad unable to eat. The atmosphere was unique as the crab shack sit on the river.

Great seafood restaurant with an amazing view of the Ohio River and the four bridges that cross it. The seafood platters are delicious! Try whatever crab they offer, you are going to enjoy the flavor, freshness, and the smell of their plates. The decoration inside is really nice, but eating at the deck with the view of the river has no price.

We were in town for a concert and passed by thinking this might be a good place for dinner. Boy were we wrong. We waited 40 minutes for a table and another 40 for our food. The wait staff is bare bones and they're running themselves ragged. The menu prices were very high and the food quality did not match by far. Our troubles started when 2 of out meals containing fried fish arrived undercooked and full of raw batter. Our waiter Jared was a Saint and you can tell this wasn't the first time something like this had happened. He immediately informed someone and brought us fresh and fully cooked fish. The rest of the food from blackened halibut to fried shrimp was tasteless. Two orders had spoiled Cole slaw as well. We had to ask for the manager as he had not made an appearance by the time we gave up trying to eat our meals. We explained the fish and he offered us more not knowing we already had it. He offered to take off an appetizer we never ordered because it would cheaper than owning up to serving undercooked seafood. He blatantly disregarded our concerns about the quality of our meal and ranted to distract us. We ended with a 10% discount because it was the best he could do. He sent the waiter to deliver the news instead of being a manager and offering it himself. Once again our waiter was killing himself working and deserves to be acknowledged for such. It's very clear this place is quantity over quality. There was no shortage of people coming in and out and I can't understand why a place that we paid $100 for 4 inedible meals would continue to flourish. The gimmick of getting to watch the river was overshadowed by such a poor experience. Save your money and go to juicy seafood where they make sure the product is cooked, seasoned and priced appropriately with no money grabbing managers.

Very disappointing!!! Food was ok but when you're spending just over $250 on a meal, you expect the service to be decent... Our waiter needs a review lesson on correct and SAFE ways of serving food. He would not move around the table but rather stand at one end and hand the stuff like pass it down. And then we had a total of 4 steam pots ordered. When he brought he out he reached over the toddler's head to serve the pot instead of taking a few more steps to serve it to the person who ordered it. He would not fill the drinks up the whole way. We had to constantly ask for refills and everything. Our food came out and we sat there for 10 minutes waiting for drinks, butter, salad dressing, knives, etc. Then while we were waiting to pay, we saw him go out the side door for a smoke break. The smoke was puffing out as he was coming back in the door. Sorry but not what I want to see for the money. We'll find a different restaurant next time we're in Louisville...

First time going here....and was very pleased. From attentive waiter, ice cold cocktails, and the crab dip which blew my mind! The snow crab bucket was phenomenal! Husband had shrimp and fish, and was pleased with how much food was there. Order a cocktail (even a alcohol free ) and take the cute cups home!

I give it 3.5 stars and I originally had 4 stars shown but then backed down to 3. The restaurant itself is clean, large, great view of the river, and has cool paraphernalia all around. Staff was polite and helpful even if seemingly understaffed at the time of my visit. The rating comes from my perception of what I thought I was going to have for choices of meals. Lots of fried food choices, few fresh fish grilled choices, a few market rate items like lobster and some crab legs. I think the steam pot would probably have been good but expensive. Overall, I was not impressed with my warm, skinned over lobster bisque and cold broccoli and fries by any means and I personally would not try again as it was not what I was expecting. But you can make up your own mind.

Took my entire crew there after an event. Our waiter Quon (spelling unsure) was amazing. The food was great. We had an issue with the bartender but, the manager made it right and our waiter was attentive and we enjoyed having him. There were other waitresses that were amazing to us as well. We look forward to coming back again!

the food was awesome & service outstanding. would definitely recommend to anyone. I had the queen crab & shrimp sampler & the hubs had the King crab legs.

Paid parking.. the coleslaw was cabbage and carrots with no sauce... at all. And the carrots and cabbage was old looking. Literally old bagged coleslaw mix without any sauce. To make up for that, they bought us more hush puppies. Yummy, but not an adequate substitute. The shrimp was over cooked. Tasty meal, for the most part. Way over priced. I'd say it is the McDonald's of seafood. Almost as bad as the fish house in Shepherdsville. Almost. Nobody is that bad, but this one was really close.

Jalen was nice and a friendly server. Food was good. Wish they served something vegitarian besides salad, potatoes and corn. Overall I like the atmosphere on the water. I ate a salad and hush puppies.
