If you want good food with flavor and at a reasonable price this is a good spot for lunch. I have been here a dozen times, but always for lunch. Will have to try the sushi and dinner here when I have the time. I generally get the lunch special if there is one to try something different. I enjoy their Hot and Sour soup. Not a fan of egg rolls, so the fact theirs cost an extra dollar is good for me. It is normally not crowded at lunch so it is not noisy and the service is good.
First time visiting this restaurant. Looked clean and had a separate side room for sushi customers. The menu had a lot of variety and different dishes that I normally do not find in similar restaurants. We ordered egg rolls, won ton soup, shrimp with vegetables, and fried rice. Instead of egg rolls, we received spring rolls. They were good, but they weren't egg rolls. The won ton soup was the big hit. It was hot and it included slices of carrot and bean sprouts. The broth was very tasty. The shrimp with vegetables entree had a nice number of shrimp. However the temperature was warm and not hot. The entree was good, but lacked seasoning. Their interpretation of fried rice is white rice sprinkled with soy sauce. The pricing seemed fair.
I took my wife and mom to Jasmine's last night...HORRIBLE customer service. Not one single time did our server come to our table for anything...I had to be the one to ask for everything. When the food was brought out, my mom's order was missing...nothing was said at all. I had to be the one to track down the server and let her know. She hadn't even placed the order! The first half of our meal there was only 2 other tables with customers...unacceptable service.
Our first time to visit jasmine and got take out.Pros: Quite a large menu selection and easy order process by using the app.Staff seemed friendlyFood was fresh and hot.Portion size of orange chicken, gen Tsos chicken and steamed rice was good.Not-so-pros:Bourbon chicken was rather watery vs a glaze, appearance was not really appealing.Fried rice appeared to be white rice with soy sauce added to it (Similar to what others posted in reviews)Wait time was quite a bit longer than estimated, but I can give a pass on this due to the current employment debacle. Our other entrées were ok on flavor, but for the amount paid for 4 entrées (north of $80), it left me desiring a bit more.
So disappointed. spent 70 bucks and the food was just bad. The only one of us who ate their food was our youngest and that was basically just chicken nuggets and white rice. The nuggets for the sweet and sour chicken were soggy globs of chicken. the sesame chicken wasn't like other restaurants, they used the same already soggy nuggets and dumped a ton of sauce on them which made them even more soggy. My Mongolian beef didn't look appetizing at all and one bite resulted in me just putting the fork down. each meal options. offered soup and a egg roll for 2.50 and I took that. Sadly I did t realize and nor did they specify that soup didn't mean wonton soup. I guess I shouldn't have assumed but whatever this is they sent didn't even entice me to try. the only thing that was good was the eggroll. So needless to say we are going to be chowing down on cereal for the night. will not make this costly mistake agai.
We got takeout tonight from this place that used to be so amazing. Tonight we spent $115 dollars and were sadly disappointed. The food was so plain with so special flavors to it whatsoever. We ordered fried rice and received white rice that was colored with soy sauce. No veggies, no egg, nothing special. If you are thinning about getting Chinese in Middletown opt for double dragon as it is a much better value and you will be pleased. Jasmine has obviously gone down a bad path.
Waited a very long time for the food to come out. My friend got her meal a good 10 mins before I got mine. Then I saw the waitress take my food to another table. I flagged her down, and she pulled it off their table and brought it over to me. Food was mediocre. Bad service- our drinks sat there empty. No one checked on us the entire time. The only time our waitress spoke to us was when she took our order
The sushi I ordered was great however the pork gyoza came soggy cold and the sauce spilled all In the bag and all over everything. I just threw it away after seeing this.
Tried several times and it’s always hit or miss. Tonight’s delivery was a miss. General Tso ckn always a good two but half the pieces were inedible being gristle.
I really enjoy this restaurant. They have great food and selection. The service is always good, but rarely excellent. Still the food makes this a must visit in my opinion especially if you're not willing to spend a fortune.
