Oh wow! That had to be the worst representation of New Orleans cuisine EVER! No where close to authentic Cajun taste, bland and uninviting

Hours posted said 11-8pm, was there at 6:15 doors locked and no one inside. Im assuming this store is going to be permanently closed soon.

Got the voodoo chicken it was so good served over tender white rice. A good heat that holds you but not so spicy you dont enjoy your food like some places.

The first time we ate there which is probably been about a year ago it was awesome food was great... Today is drastically different the place looks run down the food was terrible and the worker had a bad attitude.. will never go back there again

I ordered from Postmates and in the notes said "make this so spicy that I regret it in an hour" this review is coming from the toilet so well done and mission accomplished. Always delicious.

Decent sized portion, but this was as bland as I've had for Cajun food. My Jambalaya was nearly all rice. There was no chicken and only 2 slivers of sausage. I pity the city if this is what passes as quality Cajun food.

Mickey is very cool. Everytime I come in the, he welcomes me by name. Drunken chicken with Bourbon chicken is my go to neal.

This used to be one of our regular stops (location in Stoneybrook / Jtown area) and is one of the few places my picky husband likes. Not sure if the issue is management or staff. Two visits ago when my husband went to get us takeout he said the employee made some Anti-Semitic comments.Last time he walked in, about 45 minutes from closing, and the staff didn’t acknowledge him, didn’t say anything at all. He walked up to the wrong end of the counter to order and the guy was rude about redirecting him to “order down here” (I guess getting up was hard). Then - after Adam gives our order, the guy says “we’re out of rice.” No “sorry to be inconvenient” or “we’re making more but it’ll be a few minutes.”Husband just left. We will not be going to visit this location until we feel that something changes. And it’s a shame, because we love the food here. I hope something gets done to keep this location alive.

I knew Gumbo before J Gumbo's. But I never knew great consistency in my gumbo before. Everytime it's the same great flavor whether I get the spiced drunken chicken, or the sweet vegetarian delight that is Bumblebee. Easy and quick, slow cooked, piping hot food. What's not to like?

Great service and food. I wish the Hurstbourne location was open on Saturday or Sunday.
