Visiting Kentucky with friends to get away from our home state for a few days and we decided to try this place since it was a short walk away from our airbnb. First time trying Gumbo and it was delicious! I recommend coming here on Sunday to get the 5 dollar bowls!
Some of the best Cajun food in Louisville. I had the make your own nachos with the drunken chicken so much I couldn't eat it all. My husband had the gumbo. It was very good. And the young lady that waited on us was very friendly. This was the one on Frankford Ave
First time eating here and let me tell ya some of the best bread pudding I've ever had! Don't judge me for praising the desert first ?. The drunken chicken was delicious too?
Shrimp creole was a real treat. The bread pudding was hot from the oven and the Abita was cold. Doesn't get much better than this!
Employee said she had never made the items we ordered!!!! Have two of the same cobblers when we ordered 2 different ones. It was already sitting on the counter 15 minutes early. Forgot half the items in the bag!!! Glad I am not from town and will never ever order or eat from this company again! Terrible food!!!!!

The food is outstanding. I ordered Red Beans and Rice along with Bourbon Street Chicken to go.
I struggle between two and three stars. Past experiences have been nothing short of enjoyable and the food is always what you expect. A couple months ago a co-worker and I went to grab lunch to go. We waited till 11 to walk to the door, and 11:10 before calling at which point we were let in, served, and had a pleasant experience with the worker and less impressed with the food. This past Monday we went and again waited till 11, called at 11:10, then knocked with no response, or answer. I could see a purse inside on the counter and lights were on. Disappointed.
Shy was so great. My girlfriend's first time here and she helped us decide. Let us sample 4 different items and suggested combos . We didn't realize it was only ten minutes before closing but she took great care of us. She was the best !
