Lisa was very personable. She sliced up generous portions of cake for us and some complimentary ice cream scoops for our daughter’s birthday.
Honestly Very disappointed with my experience lately. The staff seem unexperienced and not trained. Management needs better care for their employees as my servers have made it obvious that they were not trained well. The manager of this establishment either needs to be replaced or refined since the employees are obviously not getting the best treatment. I myself am a Writer in the making and working on an assignment for my class and chose The Pie Kitchen. I have happened to hear from ex-employees that the management of Pie Kitchen could do a better job. Throughout the past 2 months, this establishment alone has lost about 5 to 7 of its employees mainly due to the treatment given by the Manager. Entering this, I had thought that I would be hearing great things about this place only to hear that the employees have been treated poor and unfairly. Do better Pie Kitchen.
It seems that everytime I visit, they are out of most of the items. If some pastries are popular, they should have a system to be able to replenish them quicker. They are also overpriced compared to other bakeries. Bottom line, there better places for fresh and delectable pastries.
My names Natalie Arvin. I worked at pie kitchen for only a month . The management is ridiculous. I worked every weekend for a strait month including holidays with just one other coworker. There were nights where I just cried because I simply couldn’t do everything that needed to be done and run the store. I ended up talking to the district manger Mike Heise. His response was “if you think management is so bad , then why do you work here.” That is not the response I was looking for… thought he’d be a little more compassionate and willing to help. If you’re looking for a good place to work that is staffed this is not the place to work! Very disappointed in my experience here. I hope they get new management soon.
Had no cakes on the shelf. Did not provide alot of help when asked questions regarding timeliness. Not normal for this location at all.
We have been here several times for the occasional ice cream or piece of pie and had no issues so we decided to order my daughter's birthday cake here. The cake I ordered was a white cake with strawberry buttercream icing and some simply writing across the top. I gave the bakery plenty of notice before the scheduled pick up date. When I went to pick up the cake the icing was white and I was told the person who made the cake goofed and made a white cake with white icing. I asked if the cake was still white cake and was told yes. They discounted the writing across the top for the inconvenience. When we cut into the cake on her birthday the cake was not white, but such a dark pink color that we were unsure whether it was strawberry or red velvet. The cake was so overly sweet and artificial tasting. More sweet than the icing. There was barely enough icing to cover the cake and it was so inedible that no one ate it, even my daughter. We resorted to a Kroger cake at the very last minute just so the birthday guests and my daughter could have a piece of birthday cake. I won't be ordering from here again. Complete waste of money and the order was incorrect even though the print out sheet they provided with the cake had my correct order written on it.
Always a delicious selection of baked goodies. The caramel iced upside-down cupcakes are the nicest in town.

Great product and great service. Erica treated us well. We got a chocolate cake, a couple slices of pie and some cake balls… to go. Recommended!
