We are regulars at this sushi spot- like weekly and usually have a solid experience. And will never go back. Our dinner last night was terrible- our server was rude, we waited over 90 mins for our sushi to come out and the order was wrong AND we found hair in our food. When we asked to speak to a manager she said she was too busy for us and just deducted ONE roll off our bill. No apologies - just disappointing. Maybe they had an off night.. BUT they should get a lesson on how to treat customers.
The atmosphere was a bit depressing, food and service outstanding !
Delicious food, outstanding service and wonderful ambience. We can never go wrong at Hiko.
Hidden gem. Wonderful selection of seafood, sushi and sake.
First time dining here and celebrated a birthday. The food was excellent. The Westport sushi roll was the best roll ever. Looking forward to a return visit very soon
Very much enjoyed the entire meal, food was excellent, service was superb. The waitress was really bubbly and fun, and gave great recommendations. A friendly warm atmosphere, and easy to converse as there was no significant ambient noise. A truly delightful meal.
Overall good food but service was super slow with 3 servers in a small area. A couple dishes were nearly cold which means they sat in the window a while waiting on servers to deliver. May try it again because sushi was good.
I am usually a huge fan of this restaurant; however, my experience was lacking on my last visit. It took almost a full hour to get my sushi order and when it did come at least 4 pieces I ordered were missing. Service was dismal. And they were not busy. I was the first arrival and the first order. Just not up to the usual standards of this establishment. Very disappointing!
Great sushi experience. Didn't have the hibachi
We rushed to get here at least 30 minutes before they closed so we weren't those people who show up 10 minutes before closing. We drove over an hour to get here. Walked in restaurant was empty except for a couple groups of people. The hostess had the "too bad" look on her face when we walked in and said that they stop accepting orders at 8:25 (very specific number). We were there at 8:30. If the restaurant stops taking orders at 8:25, then put the closed time at 8:30 and not 9 pm. I've worked in many restaurants, this either meant they already started closing down for the night or that we were a large inconvenience. We planned on ordering very simple dishes so we wouldn't be a hassle. My ties to the Japanese community were not welcome here, will not recommend to anyone who asks me a good recommendation for Japanese cuisine due to lack of hospitality.
