Shame on Heine Brothers for the abrupt closing of the Douglass Loop store. It was an insult to loyal customers -like me- and to their hardworking staff. I’m sure $$ was at the root of the hasty move. Seems like HB is becoming “corporate” vs our town’s homegrown coffee chain. I’ll be taking my business to a small, local shop that has better values.
If you like mediocre coffee and shady business, this is the place! Trash company.
The coffee tastes burnt and sour. No outlets for me to be able to do my computer work. Very uncomfortable chairs and old couches with uncomfortable tears in the leather. 0/10.
I grabbed breakfast at Heine Brothers' Coffee while I was in Louisville. The staff did their job well. The pastries were quite good and they had a variety in their selection. The coffee shop was clean and well-maintained.
Great chill environment. Very upbeat. Wonderful drinks, cool staff. Highly recommend!

The hot coffees and teas are served at the right temperature, they are flavorful and have jus the right sweet amount.Last but not least: they are kids and pet friendly ?❤️

I’m usually a plain coffee drinker, until I saw the Salty Turtle. This made me come right back here every morning that I stayed in Louisville! My husband also loved the Pumpkin Pie Latte.
Hit or miss coffee shop. I’ve had good experiences here before, but whoever made my coffee this morning didn’t know what they were doing
