Really cool atmosphere and great food. Bartender was awesome as well.
The St. Louis style ribs were outta site! Love the “juice” (bbq sauce). Really complimented the meat.
We were in Louisville for a night and looked for a place close to our hotel. Easy to find, laid back atmosphere. it gets crowded fast and a little loud, but the staff was friendly and the food was great. They were admittedly short staffed like everywhere else, and still provided great food and services. Thanks for a great meal. The brisket sandwich was good. My wife tried the crispy soft shell crab and wasn't a huge fan. A little dry, but you take your chances and every one can't be a win. Please just take it as maybe something to improve on... Fried catfish sandwich was a hit! Super hot out if the fryer and crispy.
I was a little skeptical eating soft shell crab in Louisville, Kentucky but could not have been more please with my sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. The place is a bar and was kind of loud and crowed, but for another one of those sandwiches I would overlook all that. Service was good, price was exceptional, and food could not have been better. It sounds kind of strange, but one of my memories of this place will be a small, stray dog who barked at us as we were leaving. Hope the little fellow found home.
Man!!!!!!! Phenomenal!!! When you are looking for small, local, quaint, cool vibe, eclectic and SENSATIONAL MENU….stop in at Hammerheads! Everyone has a full dynamic personality with real customer service and southern hospitality! The chicken wing appetizer was just the right amount of everything! The smoked meats and vegan options are worth a do over and over!!! Prices are definitely practical on a simple budget! OMGosh….The Spicy Mango Margarita is palette pleasing heaven! West Chicago Suburbs will be back! Thanks for the EXPERIENCE!???
We sure enjoyed our dinner at Hammerheads this past Monday (Apr 18, 2022). Service was good, the atmosphere and ambiance was kind of like a Rathskeller. Very unique place. My beef brisket sandwich was outstanding, my wife lover her smoked pork ribs and our friends had the lamb ribs and the pork belly tacos, they enjoyed their meals also. The Grippo fries were outstanding. I will return again next time in Louisville.
Had the brisket, duck, pork belly sliders. Their mac and cheese balls are out of this world. Hands down the best bbq I've ever had anywhere in the world! This place is amazing. If I could travel the 6 hours it takes me to get here for dinner I would do it!
Last time I went to hammerheads ‘mEverything was great. I was happy and my wife was happy so that makes me extra happy. I got food and I liked my server and I could find the bathroom and the food was hot and the beer was cold and the wind was blowing but I couldn’t tell because I was inside hammerheads eating delicious food and having a wonderful time. You can go to hammerheads and do just like I did when I went there and you could leave with a big nice smile and then drive home.
It's after 11 pm and my stomach is still turning. Nasty gross food. The pork belly was completely burnt. Burnt not well done.we ordered duck fries.Fries were old refried unsalted dry garbage. They brought out a second batch of dried up garbage, however this time was truffle. Did not order truffle. Elk burger was over cooked. Ordered med rare. Had the liquid smoke chicken wings, nasty tasting. Also nothing was hot. The duck sandwich was good. But all that grease made the bun soggy. I think that is what got me sick. I really did not eat enough of anything else but 1/2 of the duck sandwich. We drove 7 hours to eat here. Seen on Zimmerman list. They kitchen staff was arguing. The cook should be fired for actually serving this old cold dry unseasonably food that went where is belonged in the trash. They should be ashamed to serve such food. People lined up for this nasty food. Save your money. Buy cook book and make your own food.
This is a hole in the wall restaurant perfect for one of Guy Fieri's shows. It was on the Food Network though. Excellent food. You're in for a treat. We happened to be in the area and my friend was looking up places and I stopped her at Hammerhead. Looked up the address and just came right over.The food here is so good. We tried duck and brisket sliders, mac & cheese balls, mixed salad, chicken wings, Garcia Burger and chocolate mousse cake.Thank you KJ for the awesome service. We'll bring our friends next time we're in town.
