Food was exceptional. This is by far the best Mexican food in Louisville, and itâs not even close.

My husband and I went to Guacamole Modern Mexican for date night on a Sunday. Super glad we made reservations, it was not horribly busy when we got there at 4:15pm, but was packed by the time we left at 5:15pm. We ordered both the traditional guacamole and queso, and both were delicious!!! The queso was thick and creamy, not your traditional watered down queso from popular chains. I had the Tacos Al Pastor while my husband had the Burrito Al Carbon. Both were cooked to perfection! We loved the ambiance and look of the restaurant, the wait staff was very professional and friendly! Highly recommend!

Our first visit to Guacamole Modern Mexican was great. I recommend making a reservation through OpenTable as the restaurant was very busy. We got seated right away upstairs which was quieter than the main floor. Our waiter was quick to take our drink order. He was very helpful explaining the menu and answering our questions. Both my husband and my meals were excellent - I had the Mahi, Mahi tacos which were wonderful and very filling. It's a little pricier for a Mexican restaurant, but well worth it - I would certainly go back a second time - there were lots of wonderful choices on the menu.
Second time I have been there, love the guac and spicey chicken enchiladas.

Great authentic modern Mexican food, and potent drinks.
For months, I have noticed long lines outside of Guacamole, and I now see why! The food is modern Mexican (which will mean new ingredients for some diners), creatively presented (like with flowers on top), and delicious! Fun cocktails too (also very creative in their presentation). The restaurant's rooms are beautifully decorated, and the vibe is fun and lively. We are looking forward to going back there again!
I ordered the fish tacos and queso. Delicious! Red sangria for my drink, alway good. Roberto was our waiter and he was so helpful and kind.
