This was by far the best meal I’ve had out in a really long time - felt like I was in a nice little restaurant by the ocean - but I was in Louisville - the owners/people working there were awesome, but the food - the grouper, the crab cakes - what can I say but perfection. By far, my new fave place to eat!

All I can say is wow... I so wanted this to be good and it's anything but. We ordered the Valentine's Day special to have a romantic night in. The Caesar salad looks like it could've been bought bagged from Kroger. Only a few pieces of shaved parmesan and a few random pieces of shredded cheddar...? I know prime rib is a fatty piece of meat, but this is 50% fat and a complete waste. The mashed potatoes served with it easily could be microwaved Bob Evans from the frozen section- absolutely flavorless and we hardly got any of the red wine sauce to dress them. Even worse than this is the sea bass meal. This was my husband's first time trying sea bass and I've now vowed to find him a good experience elsewhere. It's so tough, not at all the buttery flaky fish you expect from this type of high quality fish. The jasmine rice served with it did little to complement the dish. I understand that with takeout, you risk a lukewarm/cold meal; however, we live less than 5 minutes from the restaurant and when my husband picked up our food and asked for reheating instructions, he was assured that wouldn't be necessary. The saving grace of this meal was the lobster bisque we fortunately added on. Otherwise, I'd be going hungry tonight. I had such high hopes for this meal! Such a complete disappointment.
They messed up Valentine’s dinner plans by closing down on Sunday even though the website had takeout orders lined up for Sunday. Called to let us know he wouldn’t be able to fulfill the order on Saturday night, which gave us no time for Valentine’s back up plans. On top of that, offered nothing to rectify this issue and weirdly enough put the blame on us for bothering him on his day off. Owner isn’t a good guy to support (check out his Facebook rants and responses to bad reviews for reference.) Louisville has MANY other local businesses that are so much more deserving of your business if you’re looking for quality food and great service.
Fantastic experience.Ordered my dinner about 4 hours in advance. Left specific instructions concerning a dietary restriction and it was followed and mentioned when picking up the food.Steak was cooked perfectly with ability to taste the flavorful marinade. Served with twice baked potato and asparagus, for the entree. Lobster bisque was first course, and beyond amazing. Can really taste the sherry and nice chunks of lobster.Dessert was lemon blueberry cake... so incredibly good.The only negative was i had set it up as curbside delivery; but, i had to go inside to retrieve my meal after no one came to my car.
If you haven't ate here yet, you have given yourself a great disservice. Matt and his team here are phenomenal, and have some of the best food in Louisville. He also provides comedic relief on their Facebook page, so I urge you to explore his online menu and order immediately. We have purchased the Filet Mignon family special multiple times, and are blown away by how tender the steak is and the mouth watering twice baked potatoes. Don't forget the portions, you get your money's worth. Tonight, we tried the pork with candied carrots and potatoes. It was delicious, perfectly seasoned and plenty of food for leftovers. 10/10.
My Employer wanted to treat the staff to lunch in order to celebrate a successful holiday season. Being a locally owned business, we wanted to support a restaurant in our area. To say we collectively were impressed is an understatement. You could tell every ingredient was fresh, and there was thought put into each item on their menu. I can assure you we will be using Gourmet Provisions in the future!!
Pre-ordered takeout and even though I got there about 15 mins early they were right on it and I was out the door in just a few minutes. Food was hot and tasty. I got the steak sandwich w potatoes au gratin, along with some she crab soup.
Got the hot browns for the first time. WOW!!!! They were fantastic!! And huge! Got one for husband and one for me. We each had just about half left, so will have another complete meal. The mornay sauce was perfect, not grainy, not lumpy, completely smooth, and seasoned perfectly. And love the way the sliced tomatoes were separated from the container so not going to be over-cooked while reheating the hot brown. Matt, it was a WINNER (like everything else I’ve had from you)! The Espresso cake was excellent!! Who could ask for more - chocolate, coffee, and cake!! Generously shared ONE bite with husband, then told him he should have ordered his own! Keep the good stuff coming, Matt!!
