The place was jumping when I visited and I would definitely go back.
This is not a dive bar, but rather a classy and classic neighborhood bar. It's as clean as a club can get with service as good as a club could have, and food that is equal to any other bar in town and at a decent price.
Brian and his staff was Awesome. Food was great. J.d. Shelburne was Awesome. What a great Entertainer. Sure hope they have JD back soon. We had a great time. Very nice bar. We will definitely be back.
Remodeling was just what this place needed. I just stop in periodically (happy hour, usually.) It is such a better vibe. Can't stress how nice it is to have someplace this nice in this part of town.
Been living in louisville for 16yrs now and last month was the first time I've been there and definitely nice people laid back friendly good food drinks will definitely go back
The daytime bartender is the best. Always a friendly face and greeting for all. Keep up the great work with the menu and atmosphere ❤️❤️
Good drink choices but it smells so bad you have to enjoy your drink outside.
This is probably not the Golden Nugget most people remember. The place has been tastefully redone and looks nice. Even the bathrooms were clean and remodeled.Service was so-so, bartender was definitely new and lacking experience, but did try hard.
Went in thinking with a name like that they probably didn't like outsiders but to my surprise the people were really friendly and social, nice place to stop after work for a wind down drink before heading home, cozy lil spot!
The Golden Nugget is the best neighborhood bar! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend visiting my girl Laura. She assures you a good time and is now someone my friends and I adore. Has become a second family. They have great live music and delicious food as well.
