Excellent experience tonight - great food and service. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits - spicy and delish. The Choose Your Poison bourbon Old Fashion was yummy! Attentive and patient service. Affordable too! We will be back.
My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday about 5pm during an out of town trip when we passed through Louisville. The place was clean, friendly, and no waiting for a table. The staff was friendly and came around just often enough to check on our order and for refills, but not too much. The food prices were fair, and I had my "go to" meal which was a grilled chicken sandwich and cheese with fries. It was very good, and the seasoning they used on the fries was quite addictive. We would return here in the future.
Just moved into the area and my wife and I had a coupon for a free appetizer so we decided to head out and try it. For the appetizer we got the bacon Brie artichoke dip which was great! For drinks I had an Old Forester old fashioned and my wife had a blueberry margarita on the rocks. Both drinks were excellent. For the main dish my wife ordered the burger which she found to be good, but nothing amazing. The fries were seasoned and tasty. She wasn’t displeased with the burger but she had thought about the shrimp and scallop pasta, and wished she had gone for it instead.I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side of fingerling potatoes. The potatoes were good. There were a couple larger pieces that weren’t quite cooked through, but for the most part they were good and tender. Considering that I’ve never made fingerling potatoes and not had some that were undercooked I’m not going to be holding that against anyone. The shrimp and grits, though, were outstanding. I’m a fiend for cheddar grits and these were awesome. The holy trinity, the shrimp, the andouille sausage, the cream sauce: all fantastic. We’ll definitely be back again.
There were three of us and the food was great. Shrimp and grits were spectacular. Friendly staff and even the coffee was way above average.
Definitely a unique find in Germantown! The food is very flavorful and reasonably priced. Our server was informative and friendly. You have to give this restaurant a try!
Thank you, Eric for the recommendations and great service. Our meals were awesome! Here's a pic of the grilled Portobello mushroom sandwich sans the potato bun I had.
Very good Cobb Salad! Our server was great and its a nice restaurant. Highly recommended.
What a great treat! The food is fantastic and our server, Jordan S, is one of the best. Prices are very reasonable and the adult-beverages are on point. Stop by and support a local eatery. Here is a couple for skirt-steak tacos and the Cobb Salad.
I was there for Friendsgiving with group. Their foods are excellent. I had kentucky hot brown turkey. It was delicious. Then I had dessert to go which was pineapple upside down with rum caramel. It was heavenly. Also I had drink called Manhattan and it is quite strong. Will come back with friends or family.
Visited Germantown Social for the first time tonight after a photo gig in the neighborhood. Had such a good time and filled my belly with some tasty food. Located in the heart of Germantown, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. Diverse menu that is reasonably priced made for an unplanned deliciously fun evening. Service was exceptional. Highly recommend the pretzel bites and pimento beer cheese! Do yourself a flavor and go visit the peeps at Germantown Social.
