I admit, when my delivery came and it was just two small grocery bags, I was sad & angry. I knew that could not be it! Before I called to complain, Mr. Galan called and informed me all my order wasn't delivered. He apologized and threw in some extra. I greatly appreciate that and very satisfied with my order. I really enjoyed the barbecue chicken sandwiches. I just stumbled in one afternoon out of sheer curiosity. I found it was a family owned business and the food was really good in my opinion. They have pretty much every hard to find meat a butcher shop could have too.

You got to try this place. It’s a generous family owned business and the staff are very personable and you will definitely go back. I tried the Cuban sandwich today and it’s the real deal and probably the best I have ever had.

This is the latter.For foodies who live in Louisville's East end, this may be the best adventure you could take to get acclimated to the wonderful food in Louisville's West end. The smoked meats and barbecued meats are off the chain good. Be sure to ask for Carlos and engage him in conversation. He paints a beautiful narrative when it comes to why he does what he does and where he does it from.
Walked over from the Athletic center to grab lunch last week. Definitely a down home feel. Hadn’t had a Yoo-hoo in years, the music was upbeat and everyone was smiling. Refreshing from the attitudes at local drive thrus. 10/10.
I was soooo pleasantly surprised by the kindness and professionalism of the staff and the owner. They made me feel so comfortable, not once did i feel pressured or anything. And the meat i received was fantastically cut and prepared for my home. Barely any cleaning or trimming needed which is rare from any other meat market I've ever patronized. Will definitely be buying ALL of my meat from here from now on and whenever my family comes to visit for the weekend, I'm taking them right to Galan's for their meat to take home.
The chili is perfect for this Louisville weather. I always stop in to see what kind of soup they have. At last I was there, I tried the spicy broccoli and cheddar and must say after 37 years of life I’ve never had anything taste like this, it was amazing. I will forever be a customer. Good job people!
