They don't open 'til noon strike 1. Strike 2 I ordered smothered pork chops got more smothered than pork chops and paid 13 dollars to eat flour and grease. Strike 3 the fried corn bread was delicious!

First off, they close at 7pm on Sundays- not 8pm.Secondly, the meats (pig feet & pot roast) are bussing. Shall I say, tender, well-seasoned, flavorful, delicious ... "To die for."For real, taste like one of my grandparents was cheffing it up in the kitchen.Thirdly, the sides.Mashed potatoes were great. They were creamy & buttery. Could use a little more salt ... I didn't mind though, I'm not really a salt person so I ate them as is.Cabbage was a bit too sour for me but hot sauce fixed that. It was bomb!Green beans were perfect!!Rice ... Idk, I didn't taste it because that ain't for me. Basically, I don't eat rice. Must of been good though because my bf killed it with no complaints.I'll be back for pig feet & chitterlings.

Not the best choice for Vegetarian/Vegan-They put chicken broth in majority of vegetables. Sweet potatoes were too citrusey. Tried the Brown beans and pancake like cornbread was different but good.

Really good food and service. My only complaint is it’s not always open when it’s suppose to me.

They were very friendly and welcoming. But sadly the food was not great. It didn't live up to what hype I had heard about them. It wasn't terrible food just not something that made us put it on a "definitely going back or recommendations" list. The caramel cake tasted like it soaked up everything it had been sitting around for the day. The yams/sweet potato had too much lemon in it, if you are too many bites you got a hard taste of lemon. My wife didn't like the mashed potatoes. The greens were ok and corn bread too. Eating only gave me thoughts of how it could be better. Wish the original restaurant we were planning to go to was open today, they are a repeat and recommend restaurant. The stars are for the lovely staff and because the food wasn't terrible just not great, especially for the prices.

Just visited this restaurant and I had great customer service from the owner. Presentation was great and the owner introduced all the food that was offered today. Everything was delicious reminded me of mom home cooking from the kitchen. He had a special meal of chicken broccoli and I also got the oxtail and the best thing was the fried cornbread. I’m all the way from cleveland Ohio and it was worth the drive. Thanks so much for the great service!!! I will be back soon.

The turnip greens here are top notch and the hot water cornbread OMG out of this world . Food definitely cooked with a whole lot of Love ❤

Fix not cooked long enough for my taste. The cole slaw was very good. I had chess pie and wasn't pleased at all with it.

Best place for southern home cooked meal ! I’ve ate here several times past year ! Always great food and friendly service

Amazing home-cooked soul food! Really enjoyed the food!!
