Pretty cool location. Was trying to do a tasting but on the weekends you really need reservations. We ended up in the bar on the 3rd floor. Great cocktails!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience! If you are expecting a distillery tour, this is not that. This is an immersive, interactive, educational experience that really treats you - from the history of the founding of Louisville to the history of bourbon making and (incredibly complex) taxation in the United States, and also gives insight into EW as an organization. Our tour guide, Rita, was amazing, engaging, funny, and so knowledgeable! The fact that there was LGBT pride merchandise and representation was so delightful and warming, and as a gay couple, it really made us excited and happy that the organization is so inclusive and loving. We would recommend this experience to anyone interested in bourbon and history! Just exquisite!

Really great experience, especially as our first stop on the Bourbon Trail. Very historical and was nice to have all this background information as we went into our weekend. It is very knowledge heavy, and has a "field trip" vibe to it. It took an hour, and it really didn't need to. The tour guide repeated a lot of what the video said almost word for word. Other than that, really enjoyed it. I really wish though, that since this was where my group bought our bourban trail passports, that they would have informed us about how if you ask each distillery, they are supposed to give you a complimentary gift with your stamp. Otherwise, very nice experience!

The tours were booked when we got there, but you could do samples upstairs and eat in the restaurant if you wanted to and of course purchase bourbon on the first floor when you enter. Super cute distillery but you need to book in advance in order to get the full experience and tour! Enjoy!

The google hours were wrong and we went with only 12 minutes left in the day so this may not be fair. The google hours said they were open until 7 pm and they close at 5pm. We were able to go to the gift shop and do a little looking around. The people were nice and it probably is good if you have more time and can go on the tour and explore

The tour was awesome! Staff was super friendly!!Definitely recommend you should call ahead and book a spot for the tour. It was booked for a solid month as of today. We didn't have a reservation and they still treated us great gave us a free bourbon tasting and then as we were about to leave the next tour was starting and a few people didn't show up so they let us in. Over all Great experience 5 Stars all around!

Nice destination with 3 levels and bar/tasting room. Had them make an old fashioned but they apparently do not mash like we do in Wisconsin so the $15 drink is not much to be desired…

Do NOT get the old fashioned at the bar. Not worth it like the other review mentions. It tastes like watered down bourbon. It honestly could have used more simple syrup and bitters. The guys in the gift shop were amazing though. The guy running the samples was very informative. The cashier guy was awesome to talk with regarding various bourbons to use in different drinks and even offered to sample a different bottle. Would love to come back and do the tour!

Went with a group for a birthday bourbon tasting and had a great time! Learned a lot - a lot of interactive things on the tour like walking through a prohibition style town and having the tasting itself in a speak easy style bar room - the tasting itself was wonderful and our hosts were awesome. Definitely recommend going and want to go back!

We did the speakeasy tasting at Evan Williams and it was probably our favorite tasting of all the distilleries we visited. Greg, aka Jake, was such a great guide. He was role playing being a speakeasy bartender in the 1939’s and never broke character. We really enjoyed listening to the history of bourbon in the late 1800’s up until prohibition. If you’re looking for a different tour/tasting to break up the same story of how a place makes bourbon or how to nose your pour this is it. The tasting consisted of 5 pours. I would recommend booking this tour in advance. There is also no parking at this distillery, but there are plenty of public parking lots within walking distance.
