First of all, let me just say that Covid crushed a lot of places like this and with everyone coming out of being trapped at home and so many people NOT working, it was not at all surprising that they were TERRIBLY understaffed. That being said, it is hard to give an accurate review of our experience. We only ordered the Garlic Parmesan Truffle Fries (which were deliciously nutty tasting) because it was an extremely long wait for ANYTHING whether you went up to the bar or possibly found a table. All the staff seemed super stressed and there was no communication among them. It was very stressful to even watch so we more so focused on games. I've loved D&B for many decades but this place had so many machines down that it actually angered us - which is very hard to do. There was an ENORMOUS line of people waiting just to get past the front desk and that meant a LOT of people standing around angrily on the very steep stairs up to the entrance once you got inside the building. NOT a good setup and NOT wheelchair accessible. Luckily, I knew to bypass the line and go for the kiosks....if I could find them. I eventually did find them BEHIND a wall behind the front desk. Seems dumb to have them hidden behind everything and no signs or people informing guests that you do NOT have to go to the desk to get in. One sign would have saved so much chaos and anger for the customers AND employees. The women's bathroom had a solid inch of toilet overflow across the ENTIRE floor and it looked like the men's room was not doing much better. I was so grateful that I had my thick soled deck shoes on! Most of the stalls were out of toilet paper and there was nothing to wipe your hands on. Most of the games that actually worked were also sticky. All in all, just not a good representation of what D&B is elsewhere in the country. Elderly, people with bad health, or anyone with impaired mobility should avoid this place.
I had fun. They have a good variety of games and I will probably go back.A few games didn’t work and getting refunded was a bit of a hassle, but they did make good on everything that malfunctioned.
We were excited to visit again from out of town and came when game prices were cheaper. We spent quite a bit of time on the games and had a great time. We also took a gaming break for some food and beverages. The food was good but pricey. Service was fine but it did take quite a bit of time for anyone to notice we needed service. We will be back on our next visit to Louisville.
My family got an eat and play deal but we had to try the Korean BBQ ribs as well. They are so so delicious! I ordered the Voodoo pasta which I loved. After playing games all day, the kids said it was the best day ever!
The fish was over cooked and had a wild taste but the Parmesan cheese fries were really good. The server we had was really friendly and she gave good service especially since their were 19 of us and 12 were kids and best of all the grandchildren had a good time
Took the family on a Thursday night and had an absolutely terrible experience. There were 3 adults and two toddlers in our party. We had to order on an app which was awful, we went for the atmosphere and service and were not anticipating serving ourselves. You offer a power play combo and the app says talk to your server for the details. Well she was MIA so we went ahead and put our order in and when she brought the food out we asked her about it. She seemed clueless and asked if we were ordering more food. We said no, but we ordered an entree that was part of the promo. She asked if we paid already, we said no (again, pretty sure she should know these things). She did end up bringing us a play card but our presence clearly annoyed her. We ordered marinara sauce and that was clearly printed on our ticket. Our food didn't have any on it, so she brought us a cup of ice cold marinara. Cool. After we got our food and asked for straws more than once she brought them out. OH, and for a place that promotes a kid friendly atmosphere let's talk about how you charge $3.25 for a juice box. Seriously?! I can buy an 8-pack for less than $3.50 at Walmart or Target. That's absolutely crazy. There is signage that every hundred points is $1 at the prize store. We wanted 2 pez dispenser's, they were 400 points. We had 452, so we assumed we could pay $4 out of pocket. Apparently there is no register at the prize counter, makes sense right? So they sent us up front and said we had to pay $5. We asked why and they basically said they were lazy and instead of ringing up 100 four times, they said they had to stop us off at 500? Literally even a manager came over to continue to argue the stupidity. The most competent person in the whole place was a busser who at least had the courtesy to offer us a booster seat and a smile.
My daughter has been wanting to check out Dave and Busters for about a year now. Make no mistake about these places are nothing more Kids Casinos! No literally but the difference is only one fact. The winnings aren't money! If kids were winning money it would be illegal. Walking in my daughter commented how good it smelled and I agree it's smells fresh when you walk in. Prices are comparable to their competition such as Main Event but these kind of places are expensive in my book. I spent $35 in about 45 mins and won 1194 tokens in the arcade. . The prizes that kids have to choose from are decent, but most require alot more than the average kid will win. I took plenty of pictures. Advice do not play the Hungry Hippo game, the balls don't move and get stuck making them unreachable. This place was very clean, I was impressed just how clean. The bathrooms were also very clean. The staff were all friendly but not excited. Not that I expect someone to be excited to be working, but I have ran into places where the workers seem genuinely excited. Can't wait to go back and try the food here.
Food was good but as we have all have experienced lately servers were hard to find. Then a mother had a child get sick on the floor next to us...it took a while for that to get cleaned up and the mother didn't take her kids home...it was almost enough to make me go home. I know it's not their fault but it wasn't one of my best experiences at D&B.
Went on a double date here this past week and again with just my husband. Both times we had a great time, good food and really great games. Prices are exactly what you'd expect. Great bar tenders and waitstaff. Will definitely frequent Dave & Buster's in the foreseeable future!
They have amazing cocktails and games. Strawberry watermelon froze and pac man
