The restaurant has free parking. It is a typical Cracker Barrel with a country store in the front and the restaurant in the back to the left. It is a family style restaurant that serves comfort food in a setting with nostalgia pieces on display throughout the dining area. I was seated at a dirty table. I received good service. Alas, my chef's salad (which is the reason I visit Cracker Barrel) was a huge disappointment. Perhaps the chef had an off day.
Typical Cracker Barrel food!
Service was very good and attentive plus we were seated in 15 minutes. The main entree was quite filling, however, we noticed that the sides seemed to be a bit skimpy this time. They were also out of catfish this afternoon. That was disappointing. Other than that it was a typical Cracker Barrel visit. Our server made the difference between 3 stars and 4 stars in my opinion.
Had the grilled trout with cheesy hash browns and fried okra along with a side salad. The trout was properly cooked and nicely seasoned, the hash browns were flavorful, and the okra was nicely done also. Service was prompt, even with a crowded house.
I stopped after a long day of driving from Little Rock, AK. My waitress was named Sydney. She was fantastic. I need my order to be customized for my diet. She was friendly, took my order to my specs, and made sure that everything I wanted was perfect.
Had breakfast at this location while in town. Food was served hot and very large amounts. Staff was accommodating and social distancing not an issue. Food was great as always!
My wife called us in an order on Sunday for lunch. It was ready in about 20-25 minutes and my wife went to get it. She was informed that if she called it in, she would have to go inside to pick up her food. If she had done an Internet order, she could have selected curbside pickup. After that was ironed out, the food was hot and prepared as we had ordered. My wife is a big Cracker Barrel fan and would pick them over most other restaurants if given a choice. I had chicken and dumplings with a side of corn and fried apples. Very good. As this is close to our daughter's house, we will probably eat here again, hopefully inside sooner than later.
On our week long vacation first stop was early dinner and after finding out 2 of our picks around Louisville were closed due to Covid-19, the Cracker Barrel was open. Quick seating on a Friday evening around 430 and after sitting in an hour long traffic jam on Interstate 65 just 20 miles south of Louisville as we were heading north bound, this seems to be a good stop to feed the family and get back on the road. My 7 year old always enjoys the children pancakes and scrambled eggs, my wife had the broccoli cheddar chicken, my teen daughter the chicken and dumplings diner and I had the Friday night Fish special with steak fries and baby carrots. Plenty of corn bread and biscuits were brought to us as well. The server was very friendly and worked very diligently to make sure we were well taken care of, and the restrooms and store part of the establishment were very clean as I continually witnessed employees sanitizing throughout the restaurant. Good experience and I would stop here again.
The take out served here was terrible. The food had been precooked. The sausage was dry. The hashbrown casserole was a tiny portion and overcooked. The eggs were also dry and overcooked. Go to McDonalds for breakfast take out...this was horrible
There was absolutely nothing good about this visit bunch of dirty tables and waiters and the manager was just a complete ass
