We got a 8 piece box of regular and spicy. The regular was fresh and quite tasty. Good flavor and nicely fried. The spicy I didn’t like too much but still decent. Rolls and mash potatoes were good, but the mac&cheese was ok. They only do drive-thru but wait time was about 20 mins for us. Prices are fair and staff was friendly!
My husband and I moved here from Memphis. We are making our way around the local restaurants that are supposed to be "so good". First, they need to take CATFISH OFF THE MENU, because it's NOT CATFISH it's SWAI. The batter was horrible thick and tasteless...non of the sides were seasoned. The greens so awful and the broccoli and cheese rice a tasteless mooshy mess. I would be embarrassed to serve this food. I guess "THE BEST" is only as good as what you are used to eating because this ain't it at all. I'm so glad $21.00 was all we spent to give you the real truth. Maybe it's the chicken keeping them afloat!
My first time visiting Chicken King of Louisville, I was impressed a long line for the take out.Ordered some Rib Tips, very good eating!!
Crispy delicious chicken. The honey bbq sauce was terrific. The prices are unbeatable and they offer a wide variety of sides, sizes, and overall options (including dessert). My only complaint is the drive through took about 1 hour. But they appear to make the food fresh so it’s worth it. Get their well before they close however. Once closing hits they only offer or ration whatever they have left.
I got to and want to give it up to the Chicken King. I was in town on family, and business matters. Someone said this spot was the spot for Chicken, I confirm that. The Chicken was piping hot, and the service was on point. Next time I'm in town for "Whatever", the CK will be on my list!
Wow! I sat in line for 45 minutes (shift change) and kept thinking, "This had better be good!" Indeed it was, even better than what my late sister in law made in her Mama's 100-year old skillet. Macaroni salad was good, too.
My son loves fried chicken. We found this place from a YouTube video about best places to eat for Fried Chicken. I would have to say, this probably is hands down the BEST fried chicken that I have ever eaten. My daughter doesn't like fried chicken, and she loved it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the dining area is closed, so you need to use the drive through.
I got off work and wanted fried okra, I had to wait in drive thru line for 30 min but it was worth it. My okra was hot and perfect! If you want amazing food you have to stop by here.
Food was good. Staff was friendly. But the drive-thru wait, not only to get to the window just to order my food, but after I ordered was just as bad! For just 2 orders of tenders with fries, 1 of which was the smallest option on the menu!That was a bit excessive, to say the least. At least the tenders and fries were good.If not for that, I'd give 5 stars.
