Some of the best southern food I’ve had. The service was great and the drinks were delicious!
This restaurant could write a book on how not to run a dining establishment. 1) Does not take reservations for less than five people. 2) Does not allow patrons to wait for a table at the bar - even if they are having a drink. 3) Offers “outdoor seating” which consists of picnic tables overlooking a busy street. 4) Publishes a website that promotes a warm, relatively high end ambiance when in actuality is a plastic diner in a former fast food chili joint. (No offense to fast food chili joints as they deliver as advertised.)
The food and service were excellent. Rachel was a great server and the owner, Ashley, was kind and appreciative of our visit.

Amazing experience! Burger week brought two of my friends and I to this fantastic establishment and I’m glad it did. The staff was fantastic and even though there were wait times because of burger week, the time flew because of how attentive the Ashley (the owner) was with us. She kept checking on the tables while smiling. Bethany and Brittany were also so caring and down-to-earth! What topped it off was how diverse the team was and everyone was extremely happy to help the customers. Will be coming back ASAP!
When there is a line, that is a good indicator this is the place to be. The quality of food and customer service is on point! The nachos are one of the best in town, to the big smash burger, and finshed off with the brownie for dessert. Hats off to Ashley Saylor, owner and Chef Chase for an awesome experience. Will definitely be back!
Hands down the best southern style food this side of the Mason-Dixon line!!! Everything is homemade and with love. Couldn't ask for a better place with a great staff, and owner. You can tell the owner Ashley puts her heart into the place and the staff. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone!!!! Thank Cask for the perfect end to a perfect day in Louisville!!!
Fantastic food & bourbon selection! Great unique cocktail menu. Prices range from inexpensive to higher up and the quality of everything we tried and saw was wonderful. Huge fan of the shrimp and grits! Very nice owner, the and manager was doing a wonderful job bartending to cover for someone else…great job!!
Woah!!!! What an experience! We were greeted immediately by the sweetest host who escorted us straight to the table. Our waitress was super responsive and took our order right away! We ordered the devil eggs as an appetizer! They were eggolicious and gone before I could even take a picture. We ordered a sweet tea and “I can’t taste the alcohol” delicious and left my pallet thirsting for more. Then our dinner arrived that smoked meatloaf will leave you asking for the recipe (please don’t tell my ? grandma). We sided that with the loaded fries! ? I ordered all sides the creamy Mac and cheese shells melted in my mouth. The green beans made me feeling like I was in the south! That baked potato ? had me screaming “oh mr. Potato head” lol Then we ended with the key lime pie dessert which was phenomenal. You also can’t beat the nachos! The owner stopped by to check on us and it was truly a pleasant experience! Thank you to Ashley and her staff for making this a memorable experience and we’ll be back very soon!
My partner and I went here for brunch on Valentines day, and not only did we get a heart shaped biscuit, the service we got was absolutely unmatched. The owner, Ashley, really really takes time to make sure every single customer is happy and if you aren't, she will make it right.I personally don't see HOW you could be unhappy in this place, the atmosphere is so awesome, it's got a very low-key yet high energy vibe to it. Also my god, the food. We try something different every time we go (try to, it's hard not to get the last thing you got because it's all freakin' awesome) and every single time, we are thoroughly impressed.We went last night for date-night, and again the service and food was unmatched. Christopher the bar manager is so friendly and sweet, we sat with him at the bar once and since then he always makes very friendly, casual conversation, yet doesn't make it feel like "I'm a bartender and this is my job". You literally feel like everyone there becomes your friends so long as you ALSO treat them with respect and kindness.Go here, be kind to the staff because they deserve it so much, and tip well. These folks put their heart into what they do here, each and every one of them. We love this place! 100/5 stars, make this tonight's date night surprise for your sweetie. <3
