We found out about this little neighborhood restaurant because of our walking tour with Louisville Historic Tours. What a great place! Food, ambience, service - all perfect!
I gave 4 stars because 3.5 wasn't an option. While the experience was great I just was not wowed by the food like I thought I would be by others hype. The service on the other hand was fantastic! I ordered a dirty martini with vodka to start and it was one of the best I've ever had. The Oysters Rockefeller appetizer was the star of all things ordered for me. I had the KY Lawyer as my entree. It wasn't bad and I wasn't totally disappointed. It just wasn't as good as anticipated. My partner had the pork chop which was slightly disappointing as it was not very flavorful. The sides with both entrees were great. Overall, I just don't think the food lived up to the hype created by other reviews or even the staff created for me. I will still go back as the experience was worth it and there are more menu items to try. I recommend reservations after 6pm if you want to enjoy the live piano.
Ambiance is southern and the food is impeccably executed. We had the Kentucky lawyer and the seafood rigatoni. The bourbon cream on the seared lobster (Kentucky lawyer dish) was creamy and delicious. The seafood rigatoni has a red sauce with a light garlic flavor, a touch of red wine and the saltiness of capers and olives that pair perfectly with the seafood. The food came out hot and there was a love piano player. Highly recommend!
Staff is friendly, fun and helpful (loved our bartender, Maleah❤️). The pianist was wonderful, even played K-Ci and Jo Jo?. Everyone was kind. Seafood rigatoni is the way to go for pasta. Moscow Mule Your Way ?. So glad we stopped in!

Angelica is the best! The food is spectacular but can't hold a candle to the splendor in which is Angelica. The food here is elevated by her presence. The city should place a statue in her honor. #teamAngelica ANGELICA! ANGELICA! ANGELICA!!
Fantastic restaurant! Lisa was so nice and accommodating over the phone getting us in last minute on a very busy weekend. Upon arrival , The restaurant that evening had just gotten news of an unexpected death of one of their employees. Just broke our heats to hear this for them. But, one could feel the love this place has for each other and the appreciation of their patrons. They all rose to the occasion and never missed a beat. Mouth watering was everyone’ appetizers, entree, and dessert. Service was impeccable. Lisa herself came by and we found out we used to live not too far from one another. Lisa along with her amazing staff with fantastic food is something Ind should not miss. This restaurant is a must if you are in the area. We will be back every time in the area! Thank you Lisa and staff for an amazing evening!!
This is my new favorite Louisville fine dining restaurant! It is so authentic. I didn't even get me started on the delicious generous portions of the food!As the staff but as farewell I informed them they're going to get sick of us. I can't wait to go back.
