Oh my god, this place is amazing! We drove 1000 miles to eat here and it was worth it! The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned, the okra was delicious, mac n cheese was so exquisitely creamy, great cornbread, and don't forget the banana pudding for dessert! Truly outstanding service and fair prices. Seriously the best fried chicken I've ever had. They have a new location with plenty of seating but we had to get ours to go.
Staff was so friendly. She broke everything down for us so we knew what we could get and for what price. The food is delicious and comforting. They also give generous portions.
Just like eating a delicious home cooked meal. So much good good its hard to choose what to eat. I can't wait to go back.

Definitely isn't No Big Mommas food, they charge 50cent to pay using a debit card ...... so I have to pay u twice lol wow. The salmon croquettes wasn't good.
Well I must be honest the greens was out of a can that's what it taste like the Mac and cheese was so so the pork chop was not what I expected I will go again but I will try the fried chicken
I miss big momma.. I just paid $16 for cold food like it came out of a refrigerator and watery baked spaghetti..It's nothing like it was. I'm very disappointed.

The breading used for this chicken is on another level of greatness. My two pieces were salty though..also my beans were very salty so based on this I think it'll be hit or miss. I tasted other family members chicken and it was fine. More than fine it was amazing so consistency may be a small issue here but the likelihood is that your chicken pieces will be five star taste. The sides were good. Dessert options are okay. Overall the chicken is whats important here and that was really good.
I don't know who will have the best fried chicken in Louisville on Monday, December 20. But until Big Momma's sadly closes her doors for good on December 19, the title of Louisville's best fried chicken belongs to her. I honestly can't remember having better fried chicken in my life. That isn't an exaggeration. If you can, go to Big Momma's before she retires...you will not be disappointed. Thank you for everything, Big Momma.
