Love the atmosphere. Most of the crowd is mostly there for billiards. Food is pretty good. Onion rings were so overdone they were borderline inedible. Not a big deal but the cook had to know when he pulled the basket and filled the order. ?
One of the best places in the city to get pub grub. I love the portobello, spinach, & Swiss sliders as well as their burgers. They also have excellent onion rings. It is also a great place to play pool and grab a drink with a friendly atmosphere. Located in the Highlands (technically Germantown, but it's basically the Highlands) near Underground Sounds, Flora's Kitchenette, Better Days Records, the Nitty Gritty, Eatz Vietnamese, Wiltshire Bakery, and much more. Barret Bar is a great place to get your night started.
Nice old patio bar downtown, roomy and comfortable. My companions love this joint, it's their drinking venue of choice. I had a DBL Bailey's (took them a while to find the only bottle of it they had, lol), others all had whiskey. Which brings up a point... this is more of a whiskey place than a place for Bailey's or umbrella drinks, though I'm sure they serve pretty much anything.Overall, a great experience. Recommended.
It's one of our favorite bars in our neighborhood and it really stands out for having food (simple sandwiches and chips), reasonable prices, the covered outdoor patio and the low-key vibe.
Stopped in during one afternoon. Very pleased with food we ordered! Historic bar with a cool atmosphere. Would repeat!
