Had a great time! Thoroughly enjoyed the apps: St. Louis toasted ravioli, pretzel bread and beer cheese, and potato skins. We have a family tradition of occasionally eating "tapas style" with lots of apps instead of a meal. For dessert, we ordered the peanut butter pie and Bourbon bread pudding both quite good. We befriended one of the waitresses, who was more than willing to share recommendations and enthusiasm. Would return.
Great take over from the former restaurant. The dry rub wings are out of the world. The fried chicken is worth the splurge. Entertainment on the weekends. Great job to the new owners. Now it’s beyond a neighborhood hang out. It’s become a destination. Excellent service as well.
We heard there is good music and food there. The food was really bad, everything we ordered was bad. The fried pickle was extremely greasy and super salty, so was the fried chicken. Potato salad was plain, and the worst was fried corn. I wonder if they ever tried it themselves. The service wasn't good too. I took for ever order then get the bill.
Great place to sit at a wonderful bar and discuss the day with friends or bring your family for fantastic food in the dining area. Completely separated from the bar. Friendly atmosphere and many televisions to view whatever you want. Great staff running this family restaurant and barWonderful BBQ place!
On the way home from a NC mountain vacation and we were fortunate enough to find this Louisville jewel!Great BBQ and over 100 Bourbons to choose from. The beer list was well curated as well. The service was brilliant!Thanks for the great experience!We will be back.
Food is delicious, service is great. Location is under new management, talked with the owner who is very friendly, they kept a lot of the old great recooked with adding in some new ones. Highly recommended, the Bourbon bread pudding is amazing!!!!!
Went for a beer and dinner with some friends. The beer was cold but didn’t taste like what we ordered. Had the fried chicken which was saturated in grease and uneatable. Ordered the fried fish dinner and it was way over cooked and hardly any fish and very very salty. The Coleslaw was just mayo and no taste. When it was Checks Restaurant it was a good local place for food and drinks. Won’t return. Aweful!
Best BBQ I've had in KY. The brisket was tender and the sauce was amazing.

Food and drinks were awesome!! We got the fried pickles and tater tots to start and they were delicious. I ordered the chicken tenders and my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken wrap. Both meals were very good and I highly recommend the side of mac and cheese. The atmosphere was laid back and fun. All of the staff were super friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough, I can’t wait to go back!
